"Ordered 4/10/06, was told item was in stock and would ship that week. Called 4/16 and inquired about order, was told will be sent to shippers on Monday morning. Called 4/17, was told item was sent to shippers and I would have tracking number that afternoon. Called 4/18, was told item never was in stock and should be shipped next week. Was told to call back on 4/19, even though store was closed, customer rep gave me his personal extension and said he would be in office and he would give me a firm delivery date. Called on 4/19, no answer. Called on 4/20, no answer. Am going to try to cancel order on 4/21, will update review. UPDATE: Was told on 4/21 that item would not be in stock for 1 1/2 weeks. Was able to cancel order with no problem. Store had great price but I was lied to numerous times, unacceptable practice to me."

"Typical bait and switch. After ordering a refurbished TV, I never heard from them again. I had to call and ask about my order only to hear that the website showing the refurbished TV in stock was wrong. Of course for another $100, a new TV would be all mine. Stay away and save your time. "

"I spent several hours on the Internet researching what TVs I wanted to buy to replace two older-type 13” CRT located in the Kitchen and Sewing room (2 of 5 TV’s in home that include a dedicated HD “Home Theater Room”. I ended up selecting the Panasonic TC-23LX50 23” Widescreen LCD 16:9, 1366X768, 800:1, HDTV.
After searching many Sites I ended up @ TVsDepot. They had one of the lowest prices and free shipping, with no local sales taxes collected. Placed order “On-Line” on Sunday and on Monday received a call to verify my order as expected (saw on a review that they would contact you before completing an order). Their phone call caught me off guard, since I had expected they wanted me to purchase an extended warranty (I explained that I had placed this purchase on my Credit Card that would double the factory warranty and also read that these sets would probably be good for ten years) which they did, but told me that there would be an additional charge of $100 since I had purchased two TVs!. I told them this was no deal and I could just place two orders. Negotiations followed and that amount was reduced to just $50 that they said would cover insurance to ship. This was just a rip-off since their Site says this is included, but after all the research and time to order I wanted this order and even at $50 more it was still a good price and I’m sure that price is lower now! Received this order with-in 10 days (UPS) and both sets were packed very well by the Factory and were in great shape and both of us (Wife) are very pleased with this purchase from TVsDepot.
P.S. We were so happy with these sets that we purchase another set after the above order from TVsDepot for the bedroom (no free shipping on this set). This time it was the Panasonic LCD 32” HD TC-32LX50.

"The item I placed the order for was not available and could no longer be ordered but I had to call to find this out. A simple email or telephone call stating they no longer offered the product would have been much better than me calling and cancelling the order. The item was at a very competitive price which should have caused me to question the purchase up front. A courteous customer support person did cancel the order and I requested an email confirmation of the cancellation. Before ordering anything on line call the store and confirm that is indeed in stock and verify probable ship date before making the purchase."
"On Monday, November 7, 2005 I placed a telephone order for a Panasonic TH-50PHD8UK 50" HDTV Plasma and was assured by “Aaron” at TVsDepot that the item was in stock and would be shipped immediately and then received by me a little over a week later. I queried him about the availability because some other retailers I had contacted said they had none available in stock. Based on Aaron’s assurances, I placed the order. I received a confirming email that that contained a web link to check order status. Once I clicked on that link, it showed the order’s status as being “Order Verified.” On Tuesday, having not received any shipping tracking information, I tried to call “Jacob2” who was listed in the email as being the customer service rep. Despite repeated calls and voice messages I left for Jacob, he never called me back and I was unable to talk with him. In frustration, on Wednesday I called the general customer service line and after considerable waiting finally talked with someone. He told me that contrary to what Aaron had assured me on Monday that the item had unexpectedly been backordered, but it would in the next day, Thursday, and would immediately ship to me. Interestingly, I checked the website and saw no indication that the item was not in stock. Thursday, seeing no change in my order’s status and still having received no shipping tracking information, I tried Jacob again. No luck. I called the general customer service line and spoke with yet another rep. He told me that the item was on back order and is not anticipated to be in until the end of the month. In response, I told him to simply cancel my order. He readily agreed to do so and assured me I would receive a confirming email. No such email however has been received by me. My order status on the web site still says “Order Verified” whatever that means! I have now emailed customer service seeking confirmation of the cancellation of my order. No reply. Fortunately, I did receive an e-mail a day later confirming cancellation of my order. I ordered the tv from another supplier who delivered in less than a week without any problems for $50 move in overall cost. TVsDepot has some significant issues to address if they intend to succeed as a legitimate Internet retailer. I caution anyone against dealing with them."
