"Just received my second order from Tackle Direct and both times were a positive experience. I made sure that what I ordered showed to be in stock and all the items were shipped almost immediately. A fishing rod was part of both orders and the first time I was a little disappointed they charge $8 for a rod tube to ship the rod in but after receiving the rod and seeing how sturdy the rod tube is and how well it was packaged, I completely understand the charge and appreciate the extra effort to make sure the rod arrived undamaged. "Received order however only one shoe was in the box. Called and the service department located the missing item and did ship it out right away. This service experience was good however this marks the second straight order I've had issues with.
An earlier one involved a reel I ordered in December and finally received in May due to backorder. Opened the box and the reel looked like it had been a floor or outside sales display. It was dinged up and had chips in the finish and the reel handle hand wear marks in it. The reel was not in a bag nor did it come with any supporting documentation. My experience in discussing it with the service department was not good. I sent pictures explaining the issues and the response was non-apologetic. I had waited for 5 months to get this and was quite disappointed with the attention I received in dealing with the issue. "
