"Had been looking for the Tokina AT-X 116 Pro for Nikon mount all over the internet, but everyone was sold out. After a lot of searching, stumbled on Tallyn's. Their order system seemed to indicate that they had lenses available, but I emailed their customer service to confirm. Received an email promptly ad the start of business hours on Monday which said that the lens was in stock on their shelves and would ship the same day if I ordered soon enough. Bought one right away, and received free shipping. Item arrived the next afternoon (Peoria -> Chicago is not that far, but I was still impressed). Was nicely padded as well--perhaps they took to heart the reviewer who said that his was not well-packaged for delivery--in a large box filled with packing peanuts. Their customer service was quite good and I would buy from them again, but I should note that they were charging about $40 more than MSRP for the lens. It was a premium I was willing to pay and is pretty much the only thing that could have been improved about the whole transaction."

I had been looking for a newly released Canon digital camera. I had called over 10 stores over a four month period. None had the camera in stock. I asked all of them to call when they had it. Ted, with Tallyn's, called and let me know they had one of the cameras I was looking for. He matched the lower price of another vendor that did not have one in stock. They shipped the same day, and even tossed in a few extras. They also followed up with emails with tracking numbers- same day.
The order was packed in two outer boxes, with the Canon box on the inside (3 boxes). The contents were perfectly protected with bubble wrap and other protection.
On a scale of 1-10, I give Tallyn's a "10". Great price, great service, great shipping, great people.

"I received an email after a pre-order signup from Tallyns that a particular lens finally arrived and was in-stock. I placed the order, but ended up calling a couple of days later asking why it had not shipped. I was told only one lens arrived, and the waiting list was at least 5-7 people long. So, the first one on the list got the lens. Due to the price, I decided to wait for the next round. About 10 days later I received an email stating my lens had arrived, and it had shipped. I confirmed it online, but there was no tracking number. So, I emailed them requesting the tracking number, and after two days of no response, I called them. The rep that ansered the phone told me the guy that handles that is out for about another hour and he could not help me. So, I emailed the general store email address, the online rep, and the general manager simply asking for the UPS tracking number. Well, no response yet. The price for this lens at Tallyns was a good one, but I will certainly say their customer service is horrible. I dont think I will deal with these guys again. I just hope the lens actually shipped.
UPDATE!! Well the lens did ship, and it arrived in a not-so-well packed box. The shipping box was dented as well as the Canon lens box. Although this was probably UPS's fault, I still was not pleased on the packing. Two emails and a phone call were never replied to by Tallyn's, and all I wanted was the tracking number so I knew when I had to be home to sign for it. But, they never replied to me with the tracking number. Great price for the lens, absolutely horrible customer service. "
