"After ordering, found same item $13.50 less at their sister site Office Express. Called first thing next morning to see if they would credit me or allow me to reorder at the better price. Have been on hold over an hour now waiting for the next available rep! I don't think they will ever answer the phone nor ship me my merchandise."

"Avoid this place like the plague: they stock nothing, when you order they will then try and go out to find the item, resulting in delays of at least a few days maybe more. They will give you a canned response of being "overwhelmed with orders" so they can't ship as promised or some sob sorry. It is absolutely impossible to get hold of any human being on their phone system, they have that scam system of "leave a message we will call you back"

save your hair and don't order from these people

"Order was stalled because their computers thought that my order was fraudulant (due to differing name on cc than shipping recipient & that I used all lowercase). Price was great, but shipping finally took almost 2 weeks to get to me instead of a possible weekend hop over the state line."

"ordered from them in the past with no problems, and quick shipping. Ordered from them about 6 months ago and the item showed in stock, but got an email that they were having some sort of problem, and couldn't ship for a couple of weeks. As a result I canceled the order. I tried it again a few days ago. Once again the item showed in-stock status, but I received an email that because of a "glitch in the order processing system" there would be a delay in shipping for an undetermined time period. I hope they get their order processing system fixed before they go belly-up! Am very hesitant to try another order from this company."

"They used to be a very good merchant. I would not do business with them evey again.

I placed a single order for some inkjet carts and paper. The total order amounted to about $100. For some reason they spilt the order in two and showed "approved" on both "orders" the next morning. After a week of showing "approved" but not shipped. I emailed them asking about the status and they quickly responded (direct quote):

"Due to a glitch in our order processing system, we have been forced to halt shipment of all orders for an undetermined period of time. Please advise if you wish to cancel your order."

The _next_ day I receive one half of the order and an email from the Techstore that the second half "order" was cancelled because my credit card was "declined". I am not sure why Discover would approve one order and not the other, so Techstore must be either wrong or being intentionally deceptive.

I do not like doing business with company that:
1) has "glitches" with order processing
2) cannot keep its order status accurate
3) erroneously cancel orders
4) splits one order into two so things like 2&3 can happen.

You lost a customer.

"Update:
Got all the accessories, but the camera was never shipped. They cancelled that part of my order. I called to find out why, but no one ever picked up or called back. Very strange. I would still order from them, but it was quite annoying to have my backordered item cancelled.

Original Posting:
Just purchased a Canon PowerShot digital camera and some accessories. Great prices. This is the second major purchase I have made from this company. First purchase was back in 1998.

I had a problem with the promotional code prices disappearing when I applyed the code to all items via the shopping cart page (the purchase page will display the non-promo prices, so watch out). If you enter the promo code for each item individually (i.e. when you are adding to the shopping cart), the discounted prices remain when you go to make the purchase. It was not a big deal because they cancelled my order right away so I could redo the purchase.

Their status e-mails are great. The e-mails inform you when your order is shipped and the expected delays for backordered items. NOTE: Their site clearly stated that I was about to order a backordered item, so this was not a surprise. The shipping tracking numbers in the e-mails were flaky... the links didn't work because the tracking number was bad.

Overall, I am pleased with their customer service. I would buy from them again without hesitation.

"I ordered by phone (which can give you an idea of how their customer service is). Software retail boxed as promised. I wish that they had included a receipt for my transaction with the package, but they did provide a prompt email response on how to download it from their website. UPS in 2 business days from adjacent state. Great, I would order from them again!"

"Ordered an Antec case and 8cm fan from them. Shipping was via UPS Ground and only took 2 days! Little disappointed that they have a fixed shipping rate though. I only live two states away and it wouldn't have been so expensive for shipping had they used my zip code to calculate it. Nevertheless, they were the cheapest place I could find this case and I'm very impressed with its performance. They sent confirmation emails about my order and when it was being shipped and I could track my shipment. Would order from them again."

"Ordered a computer case. Got a confirmation email, and two days later got an email that it WOULD be shipped sometime in the next couple days. I never received a tracking number as promised and had to call to get it. Customer Service was slow and unresponsive. I finally got my tracking number emailed to me a week after I had already received the package. Also, had a big pain in the a** because the package REQUIRED a signature. I'm never at home at 11:30 in the morning when UPS arrives, so I had to reschedule stuff with UPS and go pick it up from the UPS office. This delayed my package two days. I am not happy with Techstore's Customer Service. I have bought parts from dozens of internet resellers in the past year, but I will never buy from TechStore again. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!"
