"I was promised one day shipping. Shipping information wasn't given until the second day. Then it was rescheduled for the third day. On the third day the shipper complained they couldn't get through the security gate (there isn't any - it was just a lie to delay the shipment). Tennis Warehouse said it was probably lost and shipped out another. They said they've had a lot of trouble with that shipping company. Why do they continue to use them? They've lost me as a customer forever."
"Bought a Prince tennis ball tube from them. Was expecting the worst from reading reviews on this site, but decided to take the risk anyway since the price was attractive and figured PayPal would have my back.
Thought it would be a quick ship time because their store is in San Luis Obispo while I'm in the SF Bay Area. However for some reason (drop ship?) the item shipped from Atlanta, GA and took about a week to get here. Strangely unlike most UPS deliveries there were intermediate tracking updates in between - it was in Atlanta, GA then suddenly in Lathrop, CA a week later.
Item came packaged fine (not great, but didn't care too much since it's a plastic tube) and new as described, and as far as I can tell is a genuine Prince brand name item. Still feel like I got a deal with $6 shipping since it feels like a package this large from GA to CA must have cost more."
"Ordered a racquet. Went on a weekend trip. Came back. Order still in the status of "Waiting to be shipped" 6 days after it's placed. Call the next day. After several minutes of hemming and hawwing rep says that they are currently working on filling orders placed 17 days ago. But "not to worry, yours will definitely be sent out by this weekend at the latest!" This weekend comes. I receive the following email:
"We are following up regarding your recent order with us. Our warehouse staff has concluded that an inventory error has occurred, and one or more items on your order are out of stock."
Yes, apparently 10 days after I placed my order it is suddenly discovered that I ordered something that was not in stock. It's clear that their live, specific quantity-in-stock indicator on their site factors in items that have been purchased but not actually shipped yet. Or it's just completely fake.
In either case, this company is trash and deserves to go out of business. I ordered the same racquet from Tennis Point (whose site looks even less polished than Tennis Warehouse's) and it the order was picked up by UPS today even though I placed my order late last night.
After all this, they didn't even cancel my order; they had the audacity to mark it as a status of 'Waiting' and date of 'Uncertain'. Avoid this seller at all costs."
"They will sell and ship you the wrong item but not refund shipping charges, even when it's their mistake. "
"Ordered demo racquets and it took 30 days to get. Thinking it was a fluke, ordered another demo and was told it would be 30 days. Cancelled order. Would not recommend them. "
"Ordered two racquets, several clothes items, and other misc items totaling over $700 dollars worth of product. Items were fulfilled complete, invoiced, but not shipped. THREE separate emails to customer service went unanswered. Finally had to call - customer service rep said items would ship - they didn't. Another email goes unanswered regarding the order. Finally had to call credit card company to get charge suspended until this is resolved. What a business this place must be. Buyer beware."
"What a terrible company!
I made a purchase online that included 2 day shipping. Not only did they offer the 2 day shipping but even quoted a delivery date, which, for me, was the last day in my time frame. So they did ship with 2 day air, unfortunately, they waited 3 days to ship it even though they stated it would ship the next day. They did create the shipping label the next day, they just waited 3 days to actually get it to UPS. Further, at the time the label was created, and for days after, UPS quoted the day I needed to have it, but that all changed at the last minute when TW failed to get it out the door.
So, I contacted TW's customer service which was horrible. While they did issue a quick refund, they could have cared less that they didn't deliver what they promised. They were very matter of fact, issued the refund, recalled the shipment, and they were done with me. It was as if they did this all day everyday and just didn't care.
I ended up re-ordering from another company though I did miss out on getting my items on time for Father's Day, very disappointing, but Dad's ok and I'll just know next time to use anyone else.
I put my faith and my money in TW's hands and they, without a care in the world, just blew off doing what they promised.
There are too many good companies out there to do business here."
"They lied to me. I called to cancel my order since it was taking so long and the promised to ship overnight snd I accepted that, but they didn't ship overnight so it was just a dishonest tactic to manipulate a customer."
"I’d review them on Google but they paid them too, so no ratings are available there. Their DEMO program **** ! Just like other here, I ordered in stock frames and had to wait 3 weeks to get anything. Not to mention I called and revised my order to remove the backlogged item, just to find out days later they don’t have the other frames now. Customer service shrugs , nobody knows what’s going on... tread along . "
"I ordered a racquet for my son. I opened the box, he held it and felt it was oddly weighted so I immediately revived it and sent it back (ordering a different model). Upon receipt of my return, TW informed me that the was “ball fuzz” on the racquet (???!!!), and deducted a 25% fee and refused to credit my original payment but instead issued store credit). Since the racquet never left my kitchen, there’s no chance it could have picked up any stray “ball fuzz”. Super disappointed that a company have purchased from on many occasions would engage in such deceptive practices. I see from the many other negative reviews, this is not an isolated incident. "
"Picked three racquets listed as in stock and ready to go late Friday night from the demo program. They were set to arrive Wednesday perfect timing as I am off on vacation all week and could have a lot of play time to figure out which racquet was best for me. I kept pulling up the order for tracking info and around one pm I noticed my order was on hold (for a back order) I specifically picked in stock racquets. I called customer service and they said it will ship in 1.5hrs. I called again at 8:45 and was it should ship tomorrow (they said no Guarantees) They said they were really backed up with racket stringing. Maybe they Should have been honest in the rackets they have available. I will now be contacting Midwest Tennis which I should have done in the first place don’t make my mistake."
"In three weeks, 2 orders over $900 bucks both orders were screwed up and both late... Very late beyond their two day guarantee. The best I can tell, they seem to be due to the opening of Atlanta location... But have overall terrible issues operationally. With multiple phone calls to attempt to determine when orders are to be received, I ran in to ineptitude and no answers due to different warehouses being involved and no communication between them collectively for answers coming from one place. Furthermore no attempt was made to give credits, discount (without request) or do anything more than curtously apologizing and being told to have a nice day. When a place gives a guarantee but then does not meet it and does not attempt to correct any further than telling me a phantom email (never received) was sent telling me they were going to be late by 8-10 days... It makes one take pause and decide to look for other places to shop. When owners or managers do not keep their hands on the pulse of their business they lose their lifeblood customer base that keeps them afloat. It does not matter how good the price is if they can not meet the expectation of the customer then the rest does not matter. Ultimately I ended up canceling the order and going to Tennis Express. These orders were not done online but through a customer service representative. No purchasing mistake done by the buyer. I loved Tennis Warehouse but to spend just shy of a thousand bucks in three weeks only to have a 100% failure rate requires more than an apology. When TW depends on an online catalogue mail otders business to make money and satisfy customers, I fear they will not survive. I order for convenience, getting what you pay for timely, and price in that order. They met one out of three which was price but not one better than any other retailer selling the same items. Spare time comes to all at a premium in these times. Incorrect orders and missed shipping deadlines take away from those priveledges or personal opportunities. I will not miss anymore from TW.. It's a shame but aggravating beyond continued support as a loyal customer. I could only put one order number and one date due the limitations of this site the other order number is 12476312 placed 7/6/19"
"I have been a regular customer of Tennis Warehouse for many years now. I just ordered 6 pairs of tennis shoes to take with me to New Zealand for my friends back there. Half of the order came two days later than the 2-day air delivery I had paid for and the other half has not arrived yet. I called on a Saturday before I fly out on next day Sunday and the woman who on the phone w/ TW told me it would not get to me until Monday. I was not happy. In asking her why, she hung up on me after belittling over the phone.
I buy a lot from TW for myself, friends, family and a tennis club in my home country, New Zealand that I support. But this is what I get in return from TW. Very disappointed and unappreciated as a faithful customer. I now need to take my business somewhere else where I can be appreciated and be treated with respect. "
"I bought a pair of Adidas clay shoes about a year ago. I loved them. I played with them for only about 5-6 months, due to having to stop tennis for medical reasons. I was able to resume in March, 2019. The eyelet at the top of the shoe tore away, definitely a flaw in the shoe. I contacted TW immediately, sent photos and the receipt of purchase, and even though I have been an exclusive and loyal customer for over 20 years, they said NO, they would NOT REPLACE or even give me a credit. Never again will I shop at Tennis Warehouse. There are plenty of options out there that will care about loyalty to the customer, and back up their products!"
"I have been ordering items online and it was always delivered on time, two days ago i ordered 4 pairs of shoes only one came and she can’t tell me when will the other pairs be delivered, i am so disgusted!!"
