"I had noticed that on one order of some silver coins, that i had purchased from Amazon, were boxed in TPM gift boxes and that made me seek TPM on the internet. I was very surprised that the company was based in South Texas and that they were located so close to where I live in Texas so I priced out a couple of coins and again very happily surprised at the lowest prices for the silver coins I have found anywhere else. Great prices, easy ordering and free shipping, why would you want to go to any other company to purchase your precious metal coins? You wouldnt, it is just that simple."

"I used to buy TPM's wonderful Texas silver bars in small quantities, about 5-6 oz at a time, with whatever cash I had left over at the end of each pay period. I have since accumulated a sizable collection, and I have been trying to trade up the smaller bars for larger ones to better manage my collection as it grows. I have made a few unsuccessful attempts to do this, and I tried again recently. It went just as badly as the times I tried before.

I am repeatedly refused to evenly trade up. I have several 1 oz Texas bars I would like to trade up for 10 oz Texas bars, and subsequently trade them up for 100 oz Texas bars later. The only way TPM will do this is with two separate transactions: first sell my smaller silver bars back to TPM, second buy the larger bars from them. This set of transactions is a terrible waste of money, because they buy back the Texas silver bars at five cents per oz plus spot, but re-sell at $2.50 per oz plus spot. I already bought their silver once, I will not buy it all over again, especially if it is at a loss of $2.45 per oz after spot. To convert to a 100 oz bar would cost $245.00 after spot.

A local silver dealer I do business with will trade up evenly with me, with a very modest stocking fee for the time/effort, but he does not carry the Texas bars. So I will be getting just whatever 10 or 100 oz silver bars he has on-hand. Which means there is no point in buying any more of TPM's Texas specific bars, since I will just end up trading them up for larger bars from random mints.

In fairness, TPM's customer service is excellent. I sent an email this time to ask to trade up and they responded by calling my cell within the hour. Unfortunately the representative flatly but politely refused to trade, even after I offered to do it in person at their location in Shiner Texas (to avoid shipping) since I pass through Shiner occasionally on business. It was not the representative's fault, but the bad policy of TPM.

I am well aware they are a business and they want to make money at every turn, but not accepting their own products for trade seems overly greedy. It is especially disappointing because I really took pride in, and enjoyed, having Texas bars. I will keep collecting one of the new silver Texas rounds each year, but not bullion silver bars."

"Shipping UPS with "Signature required", "no rerouting" made delivery troublesome for people at work. I can't believe I'm saying this, but perhaps it would be better to ship it USPS. At least that way you could make it to the Post Office that is reasonably close to you, rather than driving 30 miles out of the way to a UPS service center. Nice product though. I'll probably use TPM for silver in the future, but I'm not sure about gold."

"The web cite is great the prices are good. I like that you are now taking credit cards. My problem is not with TPM but with with UPS. You shipped the items on Wednesday and I did not receive them until Friday. I have a USP app so I know when it will be delivered, and it was scheduled for delivery on Thursday then at 5:07 pm I receive a text from UPS that it is rescheduled to Friday. I was home waiting for the package. My opinion is that the delivery person on Thursday did not want to wait for a signature so he let Jeff deliver the package. So is there a way USPS or fed ex deliver my packages in the future."
