"To my knowledge, these copies were legitimate. They were purchased from a vendor who was certified by my graduate school program. After informing me that they suspected these books were counterfeit, I asked TextbookRush to return the books to me if they were not going to pay me and they would not do so. I then asked them to tell me why they thought these books were counterfeit and they did not respond to my inquiry whatsoever. Very poor customer service. Apparently one book was sent to the publisher instead of back to my bookshelf where it belonged. I do not know what happened to my other book but I certainly was not paid for it. I wasn’t aware that counterfeiting was an issue with textbooks, but I would have expected the site to work with me to get my books back if I was not going to be paid for it. In the past I’ve had good experiences with this website, although they did not pay me for a different textbook because they claimed it was marked up with too much writing. Moral of the story is if you do business with this website, read the fine print in the user agreement as it seems that they look far and wide for reasons not to pay their customers as promised."
