"Fantastic place to order books! Usually less expensive than Amazon and the shipping is always free, no matter how small your order. Since they're shipping overseas for me it takes 3 weeks or so, but I'm fine with that.

When half of my recent order was late I contacted them through email and they responded immediately and were very courteous. I decided to wait another week and sure enough, my books arrived in perfect condition. (My local postwoman told me that sometimes shipments from overseas can take six months, but my books have always arrived in approximately a month, usually less.)

I've placed three orders and had books shipped to both HK and Australia, each has been handled extremely efficiently and books arrived in excellent condition. They do split the order to ensure what is available and ready is shipped without delay, this led to me querying one delayed arrival, the response was instantaneous, personalised and very friendly. The book actually arrived the next day.
Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company to anyone and will continue to use the service. My only problem is that I didn't know about them earlier, would have saved my paying the excessive postage and pricing on Amazon."

"I have used them for several years and I have no doubt that they are the best overall (compared against Barnes & Noble, Amazon, Borders, PickaBookUK, and Powells@Portland). I have never bought e-books, just lots of regular hardbacks and softcovers, so I cannot speak to that side of things. But aside from the recent delays experienced in the US by packages from abroad (certainly not the bookdepository's fault) I have faced no problems. They respond as promptly as can any merchant who doesn't have a gigantic call-center abroad. They are professional (and prompt with refunds when needed.) In my view they have, thus far, been a model for ethical business. "

"They are definitely a scam. I ordered a book and when it did not arrive they told me that they had sent it to me in an e-book form (I didn't even know this was possible). They most certainly had not! I had to cooperate with them (even though I was the customer) and downloaded the relevant programs that were needed to read the book so as not to make a fuss about their mistake. And then, after me trying to make things easier for them and not be a whiney customer they told me that their IT dept had noticed that the book had already been downloaded and they wouldn't give me access to another one! So after I payed the money, inquired about the book, complied to THEIR mistake and downloaded the ebook programs, I didn't even get anything!! And after all that, they refused to answer any of my emails! DO NOT USE THEM THEY WILL USE YOU!!"
