"You get what you pay for. These dresses are cheap and they look like it. The only positive thing I can say is that ordering was easy and delivery was on time. We ordered 3 dresses, all look NOTHING like the original dresses, ALL are very poorly made (zippers don't sit flat, seams are very crooked, other seams are exposed, workmanship is terrible), ALL are at least 2 sizes too big (despite having provided precise measurements). We will spend money to have them altered privately so they are at least wearable (they will never look anything like the pcitured celebrity dress) but the third dress is so appalling it is going straight in the bin. It is a total joke. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THE CELEBRITY DRESSES WEBSITE>"

"I ordered a dress on March 26th and as of today May 7th, six weeks later, NO dress, no emails, no information on shipping to be expected. Nothing! I was naive. Stupid to trust a Shanghai based company, this Thecelebritydress.com is also known as www.echicool.com. On the U.S. site you don't find the location of the company anywhere. Not until I ordered and received a paypal email of the purchase could I see another web address which shows the warehouse in Shanghai.
Disappointed in PayPal too. The customer is never right, there.

"I ordered my dress on April 3rd, received in 3 weeks. The quality appears to be good BUT, I had ordered a size 10 (one size up as I had seen recommended). It is only slightly to big for my daughter who wears a size 2. In measuring it, it measures out to a size 4! Emails with request to return have gone UNanswered. Lesson learned!

"I ordered a dress on April 2nd...Beyonce Short Black Strapless Sequins Cocktail Dress Party Dresses Obsessed Premiere . I was anxiously awaiting its arrival until the bell rang on April 21st and a small yellow package came for me. I opened it, and first off I was taken aback bc the dress I ordered was black, and yet, the color before my eyes was emerald green. I said, well maybe they packaged the dress on the wrong side and that the color I was seeing, was the color of the lining (I always give the benefit of the doubt). That said, the dress was neither the color nor the style that I had ordered. I sent them an email the very same day...today is end of business day Monday...still nothing from them. I will be updating as i hear from them."

"I ordered three dresses on March 16, 2012 from Celebritydresses.com. After many emails and online chats requesting an expected shipment date, I was finally sent two of the three dresses, after paying an additional $30 for expedited shipping. Only two of the dresses could be shipped as I was told the third required extra time to finish and would be shipped separately, shortly after the first shipment, at no additional cost to me. I received the dresses on April 16, 2012, they DO NOT look like the pictures. The fabric is cheesy and dresses look cheap! Also, the proportions are off. I requested information to return the dresses on the day they arrived and still haven't received it. I was also told just as the first two dresses were shipped that the third dress was lost. The Production staff apparently couldn't find it, so I was given a refund for that dress along with a portion of the shipping fee. I am now requesting all of the shipping that I was charged for the third dress and I am being told that the amount needs to be reduced because the dresses were going to be shipped separately, which was through no fault of my own, nor was it my request to have separate shipping. The delay was due to the dress not being ready and subsequently lost. In any case, since my request to return the dresses and to be refunded for the full amount of shipping for the third dress that was never shipped, the online chat no longer works for me and I have not gotten a response about returning the dresses. Buyers beware!! If it looks too good to be true, then it is too good to be true."

"My experience with www.thecelebritydresses.com has officially been dubbed HORRIBLE. I am a 21 year old girl living in PA, I bought a "replica" of a red Stacey Keibler gown she wore with a big bow on the back. I ordered it in white and a size 4. (to wear to my reception) The dress was cheap looking and poorly made. I knew from the moment I opened the package it had to go back.

Note: There is a reason they never have examples of their work and why they never give pictures to show potential buyers!

What I dislike about most about the sight is the fact that every time someone asks a question about how much it will look like the original celebrities dress they say, "It will look exactly as it is in the photo." IT DOESNT.

Any tips... yeah pay $180 dollars on a real website! Where people send out quality work. I should never have done this when there are sights like HauteLook and Ruelala. It sounded to good to be true and it was. I'm just glad I didn't have my bridesmaids order their dresses from there.


I sent them an email to give me an address send back the dress the same day I received it. They send me this, 4 days later

And I sent them back an email saying. It was not a custom color. It's White! And I want an address. (we'll see how this pans out)

They're trying to make it so I can't get the dress back to them in the required 14 days! "
