Their service is sharp as a tack - delivery was on time and the product was exactly as ordered. Their online process is easy and their pricing for rentals is extremely reasonable.
When I called, Oscar was very friendly and helpful. I had a dire situation where I was leaving the next day on a vacation photoshoot and discovered that my Canon EF 70-200 f2.8 lens was not working. I received the same lense from The Lense Depot the next morning working like a champ. I even rented another specialty wide angle that made for some great extra shots.
The lenses came in a well packed box and were clean of any fingerprints and debri and working like new. The return label was inlcuded and better yet, they don't charge for the day of delivery of drop-off.
I would use The Lens Depot again in a heartbeat. Highly recommended. "

I recently rented a Canon 24-70mm 2.8L lens for a trip to Italy from TheLensDepot.com and was shocked at how easy and inexpensive it was. I had expected a huge chunk of my credit card to be on hold while we were in Europe. It was not. I expected a lens that showed considerable wear. It did not; in fact it was a gorgeous copy. I expected it to be unreasonably expensive. It was not. I expected a mandatory very expensive insurance policy. They did offer insurance and I took it but it was not expensive at all. I worried that the lens might not get to me before the trip. It arrived exactly on time. Rest assured that the next time I need to rent a lens it will be from them. The cost was low, the communication was great, and the equipment was pristine. I have decided to buy a copy of the lens I rented, but think I will be using them soon for a ring flash. It is nice to be able to rent and try it out before shelling out the high dollar to buy. I cannot say enough good things about Oscar and his staff. If they dealt with all of my worries as easily as they did, the average customer should have an even better experience- if that is possible!"
