"I've been a regular customer at the Midi store for a few years now, I feel so lucky to have such an amazing music shop in such a small town. My main interest is in synthesizers and recording equipment, which I can't think of a single instance where they didn't carry a piece of gear that I wanted, they've got everything from the bigger manufacturers like Roland/Moog/Korg to some of the smaller boutique stuff like Dreadbox and Teenage Engineering. "Pretty new customer, didn't even know they were in town until recently. As they say it's hard to advertise in our tiny little town and even let musicians know you are here. But I have purchased a Novation Peak and a Korg DJ Controller (for my little cousin) and the pricing could not be beat! "I ordered from The Midi Store for two reasons. They have a high customer rating and they had the best price of what I wanted on the net. Unfortunately, my experience with the retailer was anything but satisfying. On 06/11/2015 (Thursday) I placed an order and paid for it via Paypal, was easy enough. By 06/13/2015 I checked the order status and it indicated that the order was still processing. So, just to stay on top of things I called to see if there was a problem with the order. I was told that everything was fine and that my order will go out that evening and that I'll receive a shipping conformation via email. That never happened. The next day I've checked the order status and it still said "processing". I gave it till that evening and the status was the same. I was told that there was a problem at the warehouse but it was resolved and that it will ship that Monday, it didn't. I spoke to them again that Monday evening, they said that the issue should have been resolved and that it should be shipping Monday evening. I've instructed them to refund my account it it is not shipped out by Monday and they agreed to do so if it didn't ship. By Tuesday afternoon there still was no shipment and no refund. Enough is enough, I called them that evening and demanded my refund, I was told that it would be shipped later on in the day. I told them no thank you and that I've already ordered an item of a higher value for a great price from another retailer, that was true and it only took two days to receive. The rep on the phone couldn't believe that I found a better deal elsewhere but I did. It's not a deal if I don't have it. Anyway, they refunded my account, no apology, nothing to sugarcoat my bad experience. Seems as though the deal was too good to be true. I'll never do business with them again"
"One of the rarities of modern times, the Midi Store has not only low prices and fast response, but their customer service is top-notch. I had an issue with (me) not understanding a PayPal charging mystery, and customer service figured it all out for me, even though it really was a small matter and meant very little monetarily, certainly no more money for the store.
