"I have an older computer and wanted to create a backup set of cd's before it fails. On Feb 6 I ordered roxio easy cd creator 6 basic. It came in a timely manner but was so obviously flawed that I can't believe the company has any quality control. I emailed immediatly and sent a picture of the flawed cd but have had my e mails returned by the postmaster. I wonder if they are still in business. I am frusutrated since thesoftwareyard has e mail as the only way of contacting them and that doesn't work. I would advise using another software provider as this company has no customer support whatso ever."
"I purchased some software from this company, but have yet to see an email confirmation. I have not had a response from them to update me on the status of the order either. My order was actually with the new company name, which is actually now www.eagletronics.com for those that have lost contact with them. One of their email contacts was still listed as thesoftwareyard.com, which led me to this review site. Hopefully, they will respond soon so that this can be resolved and I can satisfy the reason for my purchase."
"I too ordered from the Softwareyard when I say Norton Utilities 2003 for around 5 bucks.
The order went through Yahoo shopping as they were a member (at the time).
I received confirmation that very same day. The next day, I noticed that they were no longer a Yahoo merchant. I contacted them via email to ask what was going on, and if everything was OK with my order. They responded shortly after, and explained that they were leaving Yahoo Shopping, and that Yahoo "pulled them off" too soon.
That was the last I have heard from them. Several other emails to inquire about the shipping of my order have either returned undeliverable, or have not been answered. I fear that my money has been lost. I will await my next chargecard statement, and if it has been charged, I will dispute it and report this firm.
There still may be time for me to get the order, but with no correspondance from them, I hold very little hope.
P.S.
Prior to ordering...I asked them about the negative comments about them "pirating" or "copying" software. The insisted that they could not stay in business if they did so, and they send exactly what they say they do as represented by they ads..ie...OEM software.
I'd settle for a pirated version now....

"I ordered two copies of Nero version 6.0 through TheSoftWareyard's Pricegrabber interface.
At first, they only sent me one. After I contacted them via e-mail, they sent me another one.
Surprise, surprise. BOTH CDROMS THAT THEY SENT HAVE THE SAME SERIAL NUMBER (ending in 7268)!
The CDs that these people are selling are obvious CDR recordables and come in plain, white disc envelopes. These people are selling ILLEGAL pieces of software. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY!"
"Purchased software from them. Received it four days later. However, shipment was damaged. I e-mailed the company asking about a replacement, 10 minutes later, they simply asked for my mailing address and title of the product, upon my response, they had an e-mail back to me 5 minutes later saying it would be in the mail the following morning. Excellent service, fast responses, good experience."
"Bought A copy of nero 6 from them, found out from nero it is a illegal copy after updating to ver 6.0.0.28
I requested a refund, will update if it comes through

"Prices are too good to be true but I figured I had to try it. Ordered Nero 6 Ultra Edition. I got a CD with low-quality label in a plain white envelope with no return address. Tried to install and it required a serial number, but none was provided. CONTACT US link on web site doesn't work. No receipt or e-mail confirmation to point to. These are crooks. Money down the drain.
UPDATE: I did get ahold of them and the did send a serial number. Who knows how many times that 1 serial number had been used, but at least it activated my program."
"I placed my order Tuesday around 3:00 PM, I ordered the NERO 6 Ultra Edition for $3.95, and the NORTON SystemWorks 2003 Professional for $4.95 the shipping was $4.95 to GA, the total $13.85 for software worth at least $150. I received a confirmation e-mail the next day, and the day after I got my package in my mail box, which means two days to my door – awesome. Both products came as described on their web site, they are the retail versions except the big and “expansive” boxes, also their installation and registration went flawlessly.
Overall, I would like to give this transaction A+A+A+ for the price, communication, and excellent service. Thanks, The Software Yard for a pleasant experience with buying software for a very good price, and I promise; I’ll back soon.
