"I placed an order a little over two weeks ago. At first, everything went great. I received a notice that my purchase had shipped out the next day and thought it would be arriving soon. At the end of the week, I checked the tracking and FedEx still hadn’t received the shipment, so I followed up with the company via email. A few days later, no response and FedEx still doesn’t have the shipment. I follow up again. Still no response, but I get a message from my credit card company telling me I’ve received a credit back to my card. The company canceled the order (I guess?) and refunded my card, which I appreciate. I had been unhappy with lack of communication, but it seems their messages were filtered out by my junk filter. "
"I have been searching for deck stain on the internet. Read some of the reviews here on The Stain Depot especially about the "shipping" because I was from out of state. I contacted Customer Service with questions regarding the stain as well as the shipping. Mr. Reid promptly responding to my messages with professionalism. I received my package yesterday and both cans were intact--no dents or damage to the box. I applaud The Stain Depot for taking extra precautions in shipping their product--never had seen such careful packaging. I will be ordering from them again. Thank you."
"I've put stain on my house twice. TWP 1501 Cedartone. It is an excellent product. I applied it to my hemlock board and batten siding which had never been treated in 14 years! The siding was terribly gray. I cleaned it first with Olympic Premium Deck Cleaner and power washed it. My contractor sprayed and brushed on the first coat, then applied a second coat with a brush. The finish was beautiful. Much of my house sits in harsh, direct sunlight. This stain has held up great. After 3 years I decided to put on another coat, although the house really did not need it. My contractor said I should wait 4 to 5 years for additional coats of stain. I purchased my stain in 5-gallon buckets, delivered free. I did not have any trouble with the delivery. In two shipments over three years, I think I had one slightly dented can. The stain also holds up when stored over the winter months. I kept the cans in my barn, subject to below freezing temperatures, and the stain was fine."
"The good. They carry Sikkens, now PPG and have it in stock.
The bad. They do not adequately pack their shipments so you will have severely dented cans.
And when you contact them they totally lie about how they packaged their shipments, and refuse to do anything about it.
It is not worth saving the 10% that their pricing gives you.
I will not buy from again."

"Excellent service both times I worked with them this summer. Very fast processing and shipping. Excellent communication via e-mail. They noticed that the brush and the stain I ordered do not work well together and suggested an alternative. They issued a refund on the brush immediately. "I ordered stain, my credit card was charged, I never received a confirmation email. I emailed after about one week to inquire about my order. They said I never placed an order, I sent them the credit card statement showing the charge. Next day, the charge was removed from credit card account and they said my credit card was declined or I probably ordered from a different company or I had a different address. Shady. They were snotty too me and blamed me for their own bumbling mistake! I bought elsewhere."

Their website and billing worked without flaw. The Stain Depot carries a large selection of Sashco and Sikkens products. I will buy from The Stain Depot again. "

I am afraid the minute we open the cans they will be. If not sooner. We do not know how long it will take for conditions to be right for applying. We may have just paid for a real mess. BEWARE! "
