"Hi - My name is Luna and I am a 2.5 year old cavachon. King Charles Cavalier Spaniel and Bichon Frise'). Until recently I have been eating dried kibble and never much cared for it. When desperately hungry I'd pick at my bowl throughout the day, but preferred table scraps and our three cats canned food. I have developed lots of great tricks to beg for and sneak food. I also am very sensitive to certain ingredients, like wheat and other fillers and they made my skin itch terribly.

A few weeks ago everything changed. My parents made me a bowl of Honest Kitchen and I have never been so excited about breakfast and dinner in my life. I no longer beg contantly for handouts, pull out chairs to get on the table, or try to get the cats food.
The second I hear the water being heated for my meal, I sit at attention. The 3 minutes they make me wait (while it is rehydrating) before giving it to me feels like an eternity. Now I wimper a bit waiting for my own food.

Sometimes they try to distract me, by taking me out to go potty while the timer is counting down. I do not fall for that foolishness. Don't they know that the most tasty, healthy meal ever is waiting inside. I just keep running back to the front door to ensure that no one forgets what is really important here. Dinnertime!!! "Our little 14 year old Shih Tzu, Phoebe Jo, has had a hard year in 2014. She had pancreatitis and was very sick, with 2 relapses. She became very weak throughout this ordeal and only wanted to sleep. She has had a hard time digesting her food for the last 3 or so years; probably more in hindsight. We tried sooo many different foods; the most expensive kibbles. She's never been a huge fan of any. She suffered with loud belly noises (I think with pain) and had a hard time with bowel movements that were more loose than they should be (not quite diarrhea). After the pancreatitis flare up I was desperate and willing to spend more money after hearing about raw and dehydrated diets and their benefits. Phoebe is on the Zeal diet as I wanted to stay low fat due to the pancreatitis. The extra money is so worth it to my husband and I as she absolutely loves it and cannot wait for her food to hydrate without making all kinds of little impatient noises. She's getting stronger and sleeping a little less and starting to want to play some more, and we don't think she is having anymore stomach pain. We think this food is much easier on her digestive system. We even think it might be helping a chronic redness in her eye. And her bowel movements are so healthy-finally after years and years.
