"I ordered two boxes of dog food from this company, one beef one turkey, and various samples of cat food. While my dog really enjoyed the food, I was only able to feed her one box as upon opening the other box, I discovered it was completely infested with moths and some other type of bug that had weaved a web throughout the food.

I contacted the company for a replacement as the food had not yet reached its expiration date, and Liz Black enthusiastically encouraged me to return the food to the store I bought it from. The only problem was I had purchased the food directly from Honest Kitchen. When Liz heard this, she immediately changed her tune. She explained that moths will bear holes through the seams of the bags and asked me how I had stored the food. She also made sure to state that it was "impossible" for the moths to have entered the food in the warehouse even though, according to the manufacturing date, the food had sat there for 7 months before they sent it out to me. Essentially, Liz was trying to throw the blame on me, the customer, and stopped responding to my emails. Sure, I'm just going to go away.

The funny thing is that I had stored the food right next to the opened box of food and the small bags of unopened cat food from the same company, but the bugs hadn't bored any holes through those bags when I checked them. It was only this one box that had what seemed like a long time bug infestation.

I really wanted to like this company as my dog loved the food, but this company does not take responsibility for the food it sends its customers and to make matters worse, it takes a petty approach to its customer service. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice... ain't gonna happen!"

For eight years he suffered terrible skin issues, break out with staphylococcus infections, which meant antibiotics and steroids for years,he’d cry, wouldn’t play, didn’t want to walk with me.
Vet visit after vet visit since eight months old.
No help from them.
Then I did my own research,to see if I could come up for a root cause.
I looked at my file of office visits, etc. and saw a red flag when I looked at the rabies vaccination certificate.
I looked up the vaccine manufacturer,no real info on side effects,then I looked it up on CDC website. There it was, possible Sid effects: skin rashes, it had an antibiotic in it to preserve it. The vet who did his neuter, gave him a Three year rabies shot.
In my mind and evidence of all the years of taking him to a conventional vet, that’s what happened, then I looked for a holistic vet, she put him on Honest Kitchen,grain free beef for winter and fish and coconut for summer.
He loves his food, his **** is perfect, if I keep him on all organic food, he’s good.
He was due for his rabies shot this year, I can’t allow it, although the holistic vet will test him before she would give it to him to see if there is any vaccine left in his system.
Holistic vets test this, so even though none will say yes, the vaccine caused his problems, why do They test for it?
