"I was very dissatisfied with this company. I have made a total of seven orders with them since 9/9/2007. My first order was for 6 Fantastic Digital Audio HiFi Vertical AM/FM/CD Players. I got them in working condition, but the boxes they came in were not packed well at all and I am surprised that they did work to those I resold them too, I was very nervous to even try to resell them. Since that went alright, I tried them again. This time I purchased 9 APC Power Manager 6 Outlet Surge Protector/Comp Managers and I was happy with their service because they came quickly and they provided me with an extra unit free of charge. Very soon after that purchase, I bought 1 Black & Decker Freewire Monitoring Camera Kit and eventually the Black & Decker Freewire 5 Pieces Starter Kit from them. I have not opened it or sold it, but it came in retail packing and at a fair price. I even bought 2 Wireless G PCI Adapter with RangeBoosters and had no problems. So up until this point, I have been happy with the company overall.
Recently, I purchased several sets of Samsung Expandable Braided Cable Wraps HT404. This was after they changed their website around a bit an made some “improvements” to it. I always read what sites like this have as rules and felt comfortable with this site until this order. This site says there are a limit of 3 orders per day (which apparently can change and vary day by day). I wanted to purchase the maximum and get free shipping on my third order as all of their rules describe. So, I made my first two orders without a problem and got discounted shipping ($2) on the second order as advertised, but for it to have been worth it for me, I would need free shipping on the third order ($6). I tried to make the purchase, and I got an error message that read, “Sorry, ordering is not allowed as it puts you over the maximum number of orders for this listing." This was news to me so I emailed the company and got a response the next day explaining that I should have read the rules (which I did) and that they would not help me. I wanted to cancel my order, but I would be charge $5 per order to cancel. I felt that I was being deceived, but I figured that I must not have read it anywhere. I decided to look for it, and I could not find it. So, I emailed the company this information and suggested how to make it more clear. They did not care and in my view, it made me think that they know they are being sneaky and that is how they are making money. Every email I sent came back with a scripted reply, which made me think that they really didn’t care. I was quite obvious, so I gave up and decided I would not purchase too much more from them for a while. Then, I got my items. I opened the package and my order came bulk shipped (not in retail packaging) even though the pictures they used showed retail packing. Below is my message to Thing Fling about this:
“I have received my order today and I am dissatisfied once again. The purchase I made was advertised as NEW, I saw nothing stating that these would be shipped in bulk without packaging. If I knew that they were not in the retail package (as shown in the picture) I would not have ordered them. I have not had a pleasant experience with my order. It started with being deceived into thinking I was going to get free shipping on my third order, but I was not allowed to purchase more (that was not disclosed). Then, I get my order and it is in bulk packaging. I wish to have my order returned and to have all of my money refunded, including shipping costs. I do not feel that I am subject to an order cancelation fee or any fee of any sort due to no error on my part. I am very dissatisfied.”
I came to find out that they placed a disclaimer somewhere at the bottom of the description, where not many people would look. Their email didn’t seem to care that I was dissatisfied.

I am not out of touch, I understand how businesses operate. I do not feel that certain things, though, should be allowed or tolerated in any business. Thing Fling uses the excuse of selling low cost as an excuse for shady practices …In other words, they think that low price means low service. If you don’t believe me, then use their website and you will see, but don’t say that I didn’t warn you.

My advice to those of you who plan to make a purchase from Thing Fling, READ EVERYTHING, and save a copy of your purchase from their MAIN SITE, not the thing that they file for you. Do not get me wrong, I think this company has improved dramatically over a year or so, but they are not staying customer focused and are finding ways to deceive their customers out of money. I have more to say, but enough has been said to place my two cents out there.
