"Placed book pre-order for a book listed at $7.95 plus shipping. Shipping was estimated at $2.50, and I put a note/comment on the order to contact if shipping was signifigantly higher. My order did not ship until a week after they had the item in-stock, and I was charged $24.72 for shipping. 10x the original quoted cost and I was never contacted to authorize this!
Update: Supposedly this error was caused by a glitch in their computer system. The extra shipping charge was refunded, however, this doesn't make up for all the hassle."
