"Described well and came pretty quickly. I like being abel to return the items if they do not work. Good policy!"
"Love the clothes I bought from here ! Awesome prices ... Love the brands and all .... Justt Love it !!!!"
"Mixed feelings. Some of their descriptions of items are really poor, no measurements or fabric details. Sometimes item isn't even correctly identified. i.e. t-shirt will be called a sweater or ipad case will be called a clutch. If they say the item has normal wear, it can be in pretty worn out condition. They really overprice their handbags and they are not returnable. You don't get much at all for what you sell to them. Maybe a 25% return on what they sell it for. My biggest complaint is that they don't give measurements very often and because brands run so differently I have had to return quite a few items."
"Item was nothing as it appeared in the picture..very cheap quality and then to find that I would be charged a restock fee was unbelievable !!!"
"Most if not all the clothing I have ordered for myself and two kids looks like new. Love ordering from this site:-)!"
"I love my bag. Perfect size and in marvelous condition for the price. Thanks again for this great buy????"
"Really professional, and I love the packaging. "
"I love what thredup stands for and the fact that I can decrease my carbon footprint AND get cute clothes for less makes me ecstatic! It did take awhile for my box to come but there was no rush and the packaging was very thoughtful. I will definitely continue updating my closet with thredups help. "
"I bought a dress for my brother in law's wedding, and another casual dress. The total cost was $15! The dress for the wedding was perfect! It was formal, pretty, flattering and nursing friendly! The other dress is very cute. I was very happy!"
"I love Thredup. Easy to purchase or return. I have bought some great clothing an get so many compliments on my wardrobe !"
"Very happy with my order. Will use this site again."
"*DON'T LET THOSE SCROLLING PAY-OUT EXAMPLES FOOL YOU!*
I guess I was spoiled with Twice (closed in mid-summer to join eBay). They paid out more and donated all of the clothing they didn't accept directly to charity. I felt good about sending in my semi-unwanted clothing for that reason- the clothes that were on the borderline of 'maybe I'll wear it...' They similarly offered free shipping, but paid out super fast; no bizarre waiting period like ThredUp.
ThredUp is probably more typical of clothing consignment, where they do not donate clothing, they sell it. They also pay EXTREMELY low. Don't let those scrolling pay-out examples fool you! I sent in an overstuffed bag of clothing and they offered me $4... Ummm... That wasn't even worth my time to package the clothing!
One of the items I included was a brand new pair of Michael Kors jeans. Ok, I'll admit, I did wash them once to try to shrink them, which is why I couldn't return them to the store. They were in-season for the Fall, and one of the top-trending brands at the time.
Don't get me wrong, I wasn't expecting something outrageous like $100 for the jeans. But, a reasonable price that I would get from Twice was say, $25-$30. I would even be ok with $15-20. But instead, ThredUP bundled these jeans PLUS a shirt for- ONLY $4!!!- $3.98 to be specific. What??? What planet are we on?
Had I known this would end up so rediculous, I would have donated the clothing to my friends, family, and everything else to charity. If you don't want customers complaining about your practices ThredUp, don't treat them like idiots, end of story. We're human too!"
"As always, items arrived as promised in great time. Will shop with them as long as they exist."
"Great store, didn't feel sketchy. Very satisfied"
"I purchased three items and they were great, the shipping time was the only issue. "
