"Ordered and paid for an emachines desktop PC but never received the item (though UPS said it was shipped). Tigerdirect.ca never contacted me and after I reached them, they offered me a worse computer for the same price. Thanks, but no thanks guys."
"Purchased a projector from Tigerdirect on a promotion with an extra projector lamp worth over $500.00, recieved the projector but did not receive the projector, I have enquired on a weekly basis only to be told it was being shipped, or on backorder or wasthe supplier who did not have any in stock. After 6 months, the order became canceled (note $500.00 projector lamp canceled) I was told to phone the supplier company which I did and after reaching the director of sales, my lamp was shipped to tigerdirect and I was told to enquire back there again. after phoning back close to 75 times all recorded I have not recieved my projector bulb which is rediculus, I am still phoning back and trying to get that projector bulb. close to 11 months later (september 15 2004) if anyone can help me please e-mail me at ****@****"
"Tiger direct shipped my Computer case and fans ontime, (It actually came a day sooner than expected), and it came in good order. Pricing was excellent. Never had problems with this retailer."
"The online ordering process went well. A confirmation email was received promptly.
No email stating the order was shipped was ever received. Therefore there was no shipping tracking number and no way to find out where this package was.
Purolator claims to have attempted delivery but no "Attempted to Deliver" message was ever left. There was no indication that Purolator ever tried to deliver the package.
When the printer didn't arrive, several calls to TigerDirect were not returned. When a representative said "I'll get back to you in half an hour", what this seemed to mean was "Call later, because I won't be calling you back".
After determining that the printer was not delivered but was being sent back, I ordered again. Of course there is no credit
on my Visa until the product is returned. So now I have a charge with interest and still no printer.
After many phone calls back and forth (phone them, don't bother trying to email) and a few threats, it looks like the printer has shipped again and is now in transit.
This is a poor level of service. Granted, most of the problems are due to the supplier and shipper. But since TigerDirect has the money, they are responsible for delivery. I doubt I'll use TigerDirect.ca again. It was just too much hassle for a simple purchase."
"The company wene the extra distance to call canadian company who could service a WACOM tablet shipped form the USA. Delivery was prompt

"I have to admit that my original purchase from TigerDirect was not without its problems, but that was partially due to my own misinterpretation of the rebate process and partially due to the unprofessional attitude of one former member of their staff. TigerDirect's prices proved too tempting and I decided to give them another chance and I am very glad I did. Not only have I been able to afford superior equipment which enables my large family to boast a very impressive computer network and many security items to keep them safe. In addition to the very competitive pricing, their wide variety of products available make them a very unique shopping convenience that I would find very difficult, if not impossible to replicate elsewhere. Finally, and maybe most importantly, I have seen a great improvement in their customer service. I have been fortunate enough to find a manager within the organization who has gone out of his way to see that I am completely satisfied with all my recent purchases. Further, when I had questions regarding the installation of an earlier purchase, he put me in touch with another staff member more knowledgeable on that particular subject who took the time to answer all my questions so I got the most out of my purchase. At the risk of sounding like a TigerDirect commercial, I have to say that they have evolved into a very customer service oriented vendor. I now shop there without reservation.

"I would not say I am not satisfied with tigerdirect.ca in most areas. But I am worrying I can not get any rebates. Those rebates are from SOYO and ULTRA. I am not sure tigerdirect.ca should be responsed for those rebates. But I do know I only purchased on tigerdirect.ca because of those rebates."
"I was trying to find a 1GB CompactFlash card when I stumbled upon TigerDirect.ca. I was suprised at its low prices (a Lexar 40x is CAD $321.99 at TigerDirect.ca but CAD $399.99 at FutureShop.ca). At first, I was skeptical. Is this too good to be true? Can this be another US shop masking behind a .ca domain so its prices seem low but I get charged for custom and duty?
After making sure that it indeed has a Canadian address, does not charge for shipping for orders exceeding CAD $200 and has fair reviews, I placed the order. Voila, a few days later I received my brand new 1GB CompactFlash card and the courier didn't ask me to pay custom and duty. In addition, because I ordered online, I didn't have to pay for the pesky 7.5% BC provincial sales tax, either. A sustantial saving! I will definitely buy from TigerDirect.ca again!
p.s. I was really trying to find SanDisk Ultra II but TigerDirect.ca does not have it, and that's my only gripe about TigerDirect.ca. But at least TigerDirect.ca has a better CompactFlash selection than my other favourite Canadian shop, NCIX.com, does. NCIX.com does not carry name brand CompactFlash cards."
"This was my first and last order with TigerDirect.ca. I ordered 2 cases from them, and a video card. The video card came in its own box, and works great (no damage or anything). One of the cases had a large dent in the side. The power supplies that came with the cases were pretty bad. I didn't get steady voltages with them, but I guess you get what you pay for (they were $60 cases with a 400W PS). I ended up buying 2 other power supplies from NCIX.com (another Canadian online retailer of computer parts).
The parts were shipped from a warehouse in the USA."
"This was my second order at TigerDirect.ca. The first order went fine but to my dismay, I received a broken part in my second order and that's when I discovered their customer services.
Getting the RA number went fine, I decided to have the replacement part shipped to me immediatly. They charged my credit card for it and they told me it would be credited when they get the broken part back.
I also had to pay the shipping charge to send the broken part back to them, I was told again that a credit would be apply to offset that charge.
The replacement part arrived while I was at work and a family member accepted it for me. How I wish she didn't. She had to pay the UPS delivery guy a brokerage fee of $28 (for an item worth $28 itself)!
I contacted TigerDirect.ca the same day and I was told to fax them the brokerage bill and that would also be credited back to me. That was faxed the day after.
So, for a $28 item, I spent so far a total of over $66 of my own money to get it exchanged. And all that for an item that was already (and clearly) broken when they sent it to me.
I emailed the customer support twice now since they received the broken part, I asked them about when would I get my money back. And twice so far my emails were ignored, not even an acknowledgement.
I'm giving TigerDirect until next week to contact me and give me my money back. If they do not, I will contact VISA to dispute the charge on my card (I kept all my documents and emails) and I will also seek legal advice about getting my money back for the stupid brokerage fee and shipping fee.
AVOID PURCHASING AT TIGERDIRECT.CA. YOU WILL REGRET IT.

"I ordered a batch of Kingston HyperX modules for our business from this company on the 6th of April. I got a receipt confirming a price of approximately $260 per module.
Without informing me, they made a different charge to my credit card, increasing the price by $50 per module. In other words, they made an unauthorized charge to my card AFTER I ordered the item AND got a receipt which would have cost us hundreds of dollars had we not been vigilant enough to track our credit transactions on a regular basis.
I of course called customer service, which was a joke. They claimed I was looking at the american price and was charged in canadian currency, but when I confronted them as to why the "american price" that I supposedly saw was under 20% less than what I was charged (numerically speaking), when the exchange rate would dictate a difference of 30% or more, the thin veil they had for an excuse collapsed quickly.
I can appreciate that prices fluctuate, especially RAM prices recently, but when I submit an order, complete with payment, for a certain amount and I receive an order confirmation and receipt for that amount, that's what I expect to show up on my credit card statement. Needless to say, I have cancelled the order, and will be watching my credit card activity closely to ensure that we do not get ripped off. I highly recommend to stay away from this company."
"www.Tigerdirect.ca is an online computer store retailer. Like most bigger retailers, tigerdirect low prices are heavly dependent on manufacture rebates. I've bought from the company many times. Sometimes they have incredible deals with their rebates that beats most retailers. In the last few months, I've ordered a few times from them. Purchases averaging $100-$200.
Here is my overall opinion about tigerdirect:
They have great prices, but you have to wait a long time for your discounts because almost everything is dependent on rebates. Sometimes they have good deals without rebates, but it is rare to see. Another good thing is that they do have free shipping, but you have to spend over $200!! That's not too good compared to futureshop, radioshack, staples, etc. where min. is much lower or even free.
Some stuff to watch out for if your planning to buy from them:
They are known to misadvertise and mislead you in advertising. Posting up rebates that don't work and adjusting prices frequently. If you happen to have bought a item by mistake, or if the rebate doesn't work, they are protected by their policy. A represenative at TD told me that "rebates are the manufacturers responsibilty, and not theirs". So if you don't get your money, TD is not going to do anything about it.
Service: 2 I had to return my item due to thier mistake, and both times they made me pay shipping back to them. Customers service people are nice when your looking to buy, and really rude when your trying to get a Return authorization. The last guy was so rude that I think that will be the last time I buy from them.
Overall, the prices are good, only on their weekly deals, but you have to wait a really really long time for your discount in the form of rebates. I'm still waiting for one from 3 mos ago. Not sure if its even going to come in anymore. Another thing is, they false advertise products, so do some research before you buy. You might get stuck with shipping cost to send the product back. 15% restocking fee too, if it is your fault. The online shop really stinks. I would pay alittle extra and buy from better sites. You probably save in the long run.
Overall, I give them a 4/10... that's because they have good prices sometimes...especially around christmas.
Thats my though. Thanks for listening."
"I ordered a CPU, RAM, and a motherboard; all arived packaged great and very quickly. My friend also made an order of a CPU, CPU fan, Motherboard, Case, Keyboard, Mouse, CD Burner, Power Supply, Graphics Card, Hub, 50' Cat. 5 cable, and Monitor; all of which also arived quickly and worked great. I would recomend Tiger Direct Canada to anyone!"
"I was happy to see my 128mb US Modular pc-2700 ram that I ordered was received in 3 days and in good condition. Although their prices are not the absolute best, they are very close. The stores with the best prices often have terrible reliabilty though."
"Everything worked out fine, product works as advertised and arrived in a fairly timely manner (within the limits of the shipping timeframe given). Since I haven't had any issues, I haven't tested out the Customer Service so I can't comment on that. "
