Order not processed for a month!

"I had ordered some tool parts and I expected to receive them within 2 weeks. After the 2 weeks, I checked my order and it still said processed. I contacted them and they said that some items were not in stock and would ship when received. A week later I got nothing and contacted them again and was told the manufacturer just received the parts and would be shipped out that day. I couldn't get tracking info but trusted it shipped. Another week later, nothing, so I contacted again. And NOW said parts were JUST being received to them. A month later and my order was still "Processing", contacted again and was told that MY PayPal declined the transaction. They tried to ask me to call them and give them credit card information but I didn't do so. So why was I told they just got items because it was out of stock and were shipping it? Luckily PayPal doesn't let money leave my account until they PROCESS my order. So I cancelled. Bad experience, poor customer service, and not reliable. Order parts elsewhere, don't waste your time."

Worst online store

"I ordered parts for a porter cable circular saw, 7weeks later and I still don’t have the parts!!! I believe this company just takes your info and sells it to other advertisers!!! I will never use ToolPartsDirect again....Sad"

Over-promised and under-delivered

"I'm still waiting for my order and I'm furious! I needed the parts within two weeks and I should have had them within two weeks; It's going to take a month if I believe the latest email I received. What's worse is that I was mislead along the way, or I would have cancelled the order and ordered the parts somewhere else. Do not believe what they promise in emails or on the phone. "

nice people but horible service.

"I ordered a part for my drill from toolpartsdirect.com they said about two weeks to get the order in and another 1-2 days for it to ship. After two months I called to find out what was going on. The very nice staff informed me that there supplier had not yet processed the order and they could not give me an ETA. A month later I called to check again and they informed me another month. I decided that I would not wait so I canceled the order. Now another month passed and still no refund. be careful with this company..."

Courteous and helpful even for tiny orders

"My total order price was a tiny sum (Just under $12) and yet I received excellent customer service and a shipping issue was resolved promptly. That kind of care over such a small order says a lot about a company. "

"I purchased sander pads for my Milwaukee, and Porter Cable palm sanders at ToolPartsDirect's website on September 1st, Once my on-line order was complete, a page appeared on their website which stated the following: "You will receive an order confirmation email with details of your order and a link to track its progress."

No such email ever arrived. Yes, I even looked in my "junk mail".

Between the 3rd and the 8th, I returned several times to ToolPartsDirect.com and clicked on a link entitled "Order Status". Unfortunately, on the 8th, the Order Status page STILL remained unchanged - NO UPDATES. Said page confirmed my September 1st order of two items, plus my Shipping/Billing address, and Payment info, but offered no shipping or tracking information. "Order Status" means the CURRENT status of an order, but unfortunately, current status was not provided.

On September 8th, after taking a final, disappointing look at my "order status" on line, I called and spoke to a delightful woman in customer service who stated that my items had shipped on the 3rd. I asked why her company had not provided me with an email, and why their website's order status page did not reflect the date shipped, or tracking info...

On the afternoon of the 8th, my items arrived rather oddly packaged. My sanding pads, although just 5-inches square, by 1-inch thick, were sent in a flat, flexible-plastic, bubble envelope measuring 17 inches long by 12 inches wide - the kind of package in which you'd ship a t-shirt.

Bottom line - I am very happy with the items I received, I was happy with the price, and thoroughly enjoyed speaking with their customer service rep.. I would definitely give ToolPartsDirect another try, HOWEVER...

...I feel other potential customers should know that ToolsPartsDirect provided no communication regarding my purchase . Their packing slip did not reflect the correct order date, nor shipping date, Their website did not provide an updated order status of my items, and their choice of flat packaging, versus a box was, in my opinion, a bit unsafe, and unprofessional.

My advice when purchasing from ToolPartsDirect - don't let the shipping department decide how to package your item, and be prepared to remain in the dark regarding the whereabouts of your package.
