"I clicked on a Facebook ad offering king crab legs at a good price. I used Paypal as added protection as opposed to providing my CC directly.

I never heard from the merchant and issued two inquiries (emails to their customer support email address) asking for a delivery date and tracking number.

I realized the merchant was not the fulfillment agent. Instead Torresta.com listed Global Seafoods as the fulfillment agent. I contacted Global Seafoods, a reputable firm, and they indicated they do not know of the Torresta company and indicated it could be a scam.

I waited 8-9 days and contacted PayPal who reached out directly to the merchant and PayPal immediately received a response indicating the package was delivered so PayPal canceled my complaint. I looked at the response and it indicated the package was delivered however it was delivered to a different address than the one I provided.

I contacted UPS and they indicated they delivered the package to the address they were given from the merchant and I was to contact the merchant of which I explained the merchant would not respond to me after multiple attempts.

No one, Not Facebook, Not PayPal, Not UPS and Not the fraudulent merchant would assume accountability or responsibility.

Thus the endless cycle was created. There's a rift in between these three companies (Facebook, PayPal, UPS) that this scammer discovered and now resides.

I am in the process of canceling this transaction via my bank, CHASE, of which I am an upstanding customer for many many years.

I have since reached out to all fulfillment companies listed on Torresta.Com, of whom have thanked me and have told me they have been fighting this scam since October.

Please do not get fooled by facebook ads! Take the purchase directly to the merchants site to discover if it's a reputable site and perform a google search for reviews on the website so that you may determine if you can trust it or not.
