"FAKE! FRAUD! ALERT!!!!
www.trek4tech.com - FRAUD ALERT!!!!!
These guys are complete fraudsters. I ordered from these guys based on reviews at trustpilot.com which were mostly fraudulent and glowing... look at all the positive reviews carefully... a bunch of them were posted within a span of a week in April & June & July 2012.
Ordered item on 09/21. Website says they will ship in a day or maximum three days. Did not hear anything for several days. I called and emailed them a couple of times.... you have a better chance of getting a reply if you reach out to a black hole.
They threaten you with $100 charge if you file a dispute with your credit card company. -THIS IS A LIE. My credit card company told me that this is unethical business practice and they will never allow a merchant to post such a charge. Per the terms of card processing agreement, the merchant is obligated to provide dispute resolution services. The burden of proof is upon them.
SO, IF YOU THINK THEIR PRICE IS AMAZING (Like I did) and WOULD STILL LIKE TO ORDER FROM THEM.... HOW DO YOU DEAL WITH THEM?
Use a one time use credit card number.
If you haven't, and later realize you've been scammed... call your bank and cancel the card and dispute the transaction.
However, PLEASE wait for no more than one week to receive a shipping confirmation. Technically the merchant should NOT charge a card until the product has been shipped... So if they have charged your card, then it implies they have shipped the product.
IS IT WORTH THE WAIT ?
Absolutely not! They are employing delay tactics so they can prevent people from filing complaints regarding their fraudulent business practices. They are buying time to make a run with your money!
YOU ARE A VICTIM. WHAT SHOULD YOU DO ?
1. Call your bank and place a dispute. Cancel you card if you havent used a one time card.
2. Contact the BBB / FTC - File a compliant.
3. Write a review - Go to trustpilot.com | resellerratings.com and as many other review sites as you can and file a report.
FINALLY... ONE LINE OF ADVICE.... IF IT's TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE...... It probably isn't"
