"Bought a 3ft USB 2.0 extension cable for my external HD for less than $5 incl shipping, but it only worked about 1/3 of the time. Computer would not recognize drive or would see drive but no files would show, etc. Contacted Triangle Cust Serv and a rep sent me a new cable at no charge and told me to keep the old one. Very decent of him! Now the new cable is even worse in that if my ext HD is plugged into a front USB port, the computer won't even get past the bios to boot. I know front USB ports often conduct lower power and apparently this cable ****s up enough that the chipset can't even get going. By comparison, I had an older 6ft cable extension from another seller that functioned perfectly 100% of the time. I bought the Triangle one just to get something shorter. In also visually comparing the two cables, one can see the Triangle one is incrementally thinner. Therefore, it is no surprise that it doesn’t carry USB power effectively. I have now replaced the Triangle cables with a 3ft one from Amazon, that, like the 6 footer, works perfectly 100% of the time. And with Amazon free shipping, its total cost was less than $5, too. Like another reviewer, I compared cable weight-Amazon to Triangle and the former is about 1 oz heavier. I hate to ding them about a $5 transaction because they are nice people who back up their products. Unfortunately their products stink, so a replacement is just as bad as the original and a waste of your time and a lot of annoyance thrown in. Turned out to not really be inexpensive (considering hassle) after all. I will not request a replacement for the replacement and will shop elsewhere in the future. Maybe enough bad reviews will convince them to sell better products.

"I would not recommend shopping at Triangle Cables. I ordered some cables from them based on the website description and on the images that were shown on their website. I ordered Cat 6 Ethernet cables. From the picture, the cables had plastic end clips that were completely protected by a soft plastic "boot" that covers the clip. When the cables arrived, the boot was a much cheaper and weaker design. The protector was only a light plastic "flap" instead of a full boot. While uncoiling the cable, the flap allowed another section of cable to enter under the plastic clip and break off the holding clip.
When I wrote an email explaining the problem to Triangle Cables, the support person immediately stated that it was my fault without even knowing the way the cable clip broke. The support person even went so far as saying that the problem occurred because I had "snaked" the cable in walls but I had not snaked the cable into any walls.
The support person at Triangle stated that the type of protection boot is "irrelevant" which is not true. If the boot allows the cable to enter under the clip and does not protect the clip then the type of boot is very relevant.
I would recommend that you stay away from ordering anything from Triangle Cables. They sold me a cheaper and poorer quality product than what was shown on their website. The picture of the product on the website did not match what was sent to me. Customer service is argumentative and without detailed information, immediately blamed me for the problem. Triangle customer service then stated that the "solution" was to order and pay for a replacement cable online.
Update: 2/2/12
Trianglecables.com states on their website in multiple locations that they are, "BBB Accredited". I checked the Central Florida BBB website and it clearly states that they are not accredited with the BBB. I called the Central Florida BBB and they verified that Trianglecables.com, LLC is not accredited.
Update: 3/6/12
Central Florida BBB has demanded that Trianglecables.com remove all references to the BBB from their website. It appears that there are no longer any references to the BBB on the Trianglecables.com website.

I purchased replacement cables from another vendor. The replacements are of the same length and wire size. It seemed that the Trianglecables.com cables were lighter. I put each 75' cable on my postal scale and the new cable weighed 32.2 oz. and the Trianglecables.com cable weighed 25.9 oz. The Trianglecable.com cable is 6.3 oz. lighter. (Remember 8 oz. is 1/2 pound.) I don't know the reason but I feel confident that the new one is solid copper. I honestly don't know the reason that the Trianglecables.com cable is so much lighter but wanted to mention it here."
"BAD BAD BAD BAD AVOID this company. They mailed me a defective item. I returned it & they claim it
never arrived. THIEVES!!!!!"
"I ordered a print cable adapter. The next day it was shipped and I received the Fedex tracking number. It arrived in perfect condition 6 days later (North Carolina to California). I recommend this store."

"Thrice I have ordered from them and I've yet to be disappointed. In-stock items really *are* shipped by their stated dates (i.e.: quickly) and their prices for various cables and adapters range from "comparable" to "excellent.""
"I was very impressed with the quality of this company's products and their quick shipping. As soon as I received my order and saw how nice theri stuff is, I placed another oeder with them. "
