"Can't say enough good. Not sure about some of these reviews, they sound fishy. I ordered a cover and it arrived quickly but with some damage. Sent them pictures and they had the manufacturer send out parts which arrived in a few days. Yes, it stinks when something arrives broken but they took care of it and that is all you can ask!"
"Their definition of customer service is pushing forward on the email to the manufacturer. I had to file a claim with my credit card to get my money back. Truck alterations said they can't do anything. I have to work with manufacturer. They even told me to threaten bad mouthing Bak and Truck Hero.
Just under 1 month of ownership, I found the problem. For the next 1.5 months I tried working with Bak to find a resolution. I copied Truck alterations on all correspondence. They did not do anything other than forward my same request to the same people, when I was not getting a response from Bak or Truck Hero.
My Bak x2 Revolver cover would leak whenever any moisture would land on it. The seal at the edge pulls water in via capillary action. If it gets below freezing the ice prevents the cover from rolling up. The water would wick into the aluminum channels.
I tried to get a solution for 2 months then got tired of removing the cover to install fixes.
They sent parts that did not fit. Sent shims that made the cover not close.
I would check your credit card claim policy before purchasing with truck alterations. It took me 2 months and a few email responses (defense statements) to get my money back after the claim was filed.
I will never buy from truck alterations again. I also will not buy a Bak or a product from Truck Hero Company. They do not stand behind their products and do not provide the warranty advertise. They just stop responding to your requests and tell you to have a professional install it. "
"This is the worse company I have ever dealt with. If you have a issue with a cover they will not stand by it and tell you to go through the manufacture. If anyone knows how to post pictures on review I would be glad to show some pictures of how it arrived."
"Shipping took forever, about 3 weeks, had to call them after a week and found out the grillcraft was on back order, didnt even state this on the website. Make sure before u order anything from them, call first to verify if its in stock and ready to ship, other than that, im very pleased with my order, arrived in good packaging and undamaged condition."
