"True value in Menifee is to good to let paying customers to use there restrooms. But not to good to take our money . "
"The Rohnert Park, / Cotati Store, On Commerce Blvd.
I, Can Only Say This About This True Value Hardware Store. They Put My Boxed B.B.Q. Grill Together. And Did A Exceptional And Quality Job. Well Put Together. Great Workmanship."
"ordered 10/26/2020,now 11/07/2020 and NOTHING (an over $170.00 order) has arrived to the store. Never Again will I deal with TRUEVALUE"
"Ordering from True Value online is equivalent to spooning your eyeballs out and feeding them to Hannibal Lecter. It took 30 days to receive my 3-8 day order. Calling them is uselessgive, the local true value lost my instructions to give my order to my delivery guy. Paid $50 to get it delivered and had to do it twice. Only got, "we're sorry. This was the crappiest online purchase ever. Been buyings online since you could order online. How these idiots are still in business is beyond me. Do yourself a favor and avoid this company."
"I bought a 300.00 lawn mower from the store and so I get it home and put the oil in and the gas in and it will NOT START....the manager said that I need to get it serviced since they will not accept the lawn mower with oil and gas in it.. can anyone explain to me this one question... How is anyone to know if a lawnmower is suppose to start with NO oil or gas in it...This store policy is that if there’s gas or oil in it you can NOT bring it back... So I would recommend Never buy something like a lawn mower from this store EVER..."
"Placed online order for home delivery; after 12 business days, emails and voice mails NO RESPONSE on order status"
"Terrible delays. Blaming the virus & volume, while many out of working needing jobs. Why not hire & put unemployed to work so True Value can handle the extra volume? Naw, that eats up the profits. Can't cancel orders, it requires a phone call & guess what....True Value isn't answering phones or returning calls.
Take your hardware order someplace else. This online store is melting down and useless."
"I was in the true value store today and they wanted 50.00 for a kn95 masks it’s not right for that I shouldn’t have to pay 50.00 for a thin mask they should be only be 00.65 for a mask when this pandemic I should have to do that you need to lower your prices thank u and have a nice day "
"I searched on truevalue.com for a spare part for a True Value (Servess) branded lawn mower that I bought new at True Value. There were no spare parts listed so I contacted customer service through the website and asked for help. They did nothing to locate the part or tell me where to find it. Their reply said, "please visit our website at ... to check for product availability". They obviously don't want to help. Meanwhile I'm stuck with a lawnmower that I can't use."
"I was so happy with my grill I bought from my local True Value Store and the price was amazing and the people at the store werte so helpful."
"I recently purchased, or I thought i purchased 2, 10 packs of signs. The web site clearly showed the quantity as a 10 pack so I purchased 2 for a total of 20 signs. I received my package and there were only 2 signs in the package. The packing slip also says 10pk 9.5x5.5 HiVis Warn Sign on the contents list with a quantity of 2.
I spoke with a representative of True Value this morning and he looked at the web site and acknowledged that it said 10 pack. However, he said it was a mistake and that he would send me a voucher to my email. So he sends me a $5 voucher which will not even buy one more sign with shipping. What a joke! What VALUE is there in that kind of customer service. I want my other 18 signs like the web site says! "
"Online ordering process was easy. Good to see that they have a website with more selection. Pick up at the store over the week-end was very convenient. "
"Takes way too long for order to be shipped to store. 9 days and counting. This is my first and last purchase from them. They don’t seem to mind that the competition is driving them out of business. You will be happy when your jobs are gone. Keep doing lousy with customer service !!!! "
"Bought 3 downspout extenders. I know they aren't the best quality but I expect them to actually work at least reasonably well. The one I installed won't unroll when it rains, won't release the water it has and it blows around like a cheap windsock. TrueValue ignored multiple requests to RMA the crap"
"I purchased a gift card on the website, which was specifically warranted to be redeemable in True Value's online store. Days later, the website goes down for 2-3 days while they implement a redesign. When the recipient tried to order through the website, they learned that in those few days since I bought it, True Value.com had changed their policy and no longer accepted the gift cards. They were still happy to sell you a gift card, but they would not honor any previously purchased one. The recipient's local store would also not take the card (per TV customer support, individual stores get to choose which programs they participate in, including gift cards), rendering it worthless. I explained this to three customer support people (two through e-mail, one by phone) who responded only with vague handbook pronouncements. The phone person was slightly more specific, telling me that they couldn't issue refunds for cards because the gift card issuance/handling was subcontracted to an outside company, although she couldn't/wouldn't give me a way to contact them! Lucky for me, I was able to get in touch on my own and get the refund.
Bottom line, individual retail stores may be great, with professional managers and helpful staff, but you should deal with them directly and not the True Value.com website. I don't know if it's dishonesty or just incompetence, but something is wrong over there."
