"Rented the Canon EF-S 10-22mm. The price from tryandbuylens.com for rental+shipping on this lens was the lowest I could find of the 20 online vendors that I checked. The lens arrived on-time and in good condition. Experienced no problems with the lens. Shipping back was straightforward. I exchanged some email with customer service; they responded promptly and were helpful. They even gave me a free extension on the lens because of the holidays.

Two gotchas: (1) They require a signature on delivery. This complicated delivery/pickup. But this was clearly spelled out ahead of time, so I can't complain too much. (2) They don't do advance scheduling, i.e. you can't reserve a lens starting in three weeks. Again, clearly spelled out ahead of time, hinted at in their name (they're for trying+buying rather than renting for a specific shoot), and no doubt part of how they keep the prices low."
