"So I purchased a stealth roof top tent June 26th 2022. It was delivered on July 24th 2022. When you order they send you what you should do and what you should not do based on the condition of the box it is shipped in. When I saw the box it had a hole in it and what I can see is the railing that sits on the roof rack and the rail had a slight gouge in the paint. It's made out of aluminum so I was ok with it, so I accepted delivery of it. After the driver left, my son and I unboxed the rest of it to start getting it mounted. After fully unboxing I noticed that the corners at the back where the hinge is had very noticable damage on each corner, which posted the front so far forward that the hinges can't even open it. So I immediately took pictures and sent off an email to tuff stuff to let them know there was an issue and I'd like to send this one back and receive a new undamaged one. Afterward due to my living in an apartment had to store it in my storage, once we got there we were taking it out of the back of my truck I noticed that the placards that were riveted to the tent with tuff stuff logo were upside down, which made me call into question the quality of the product itself in which I contacted tuff stuff to notify them that I just wanted to ship it back and get a refund. So a week or so later the trucking company sent out their insurance adjuster to look it over to show her the damage to the roof top tent. I had a few more short email exchanges the following week and since then it's been nothing for a month and a half. I'm a relatively patient guy by nature, but this has gone beyond ridiculous and it needs to be solved."
"I have a Ranger 3 and a 4.5x6 awning, and I have been incredibly pleased with both. I am going on 3rd season with both, and have no issues with them at all (will be getting the awning shade wall this year).
Customer service has always been great. I did try one of their newer ladders, and it was delivered broken, but customer service got it taken care of (didn't really like it, and they refunded money without issue due to damage - a couple of pictures and emails, and it was taken care of).
Their stuff really is "Tuff Stuff" - our tent's very first time out experienced a thunderstorm/60mph winds, and weathered thru it without a scratch or tear. We have been in 6+ hr rainstorms, and everything in the tent stayed dry as a bone. During the first season with it, I had 20 nights in it, all with no problems (summer heat to below freezing/rain/sleet...all sorts of conditions). It was on my truck, but now have a custom overland trailer that it's mounted to for many more adventures.
These tents (at least mine) are a bit heavy, so make sure that your car or truck can support them, but they are also very comfortable and for 2 people the Ranger 3 is quite roomy.
I always recommend the tent to people who come to look at it (and they always do). It's a ton of fun, very comfortable, and has held up well.
I would not hesitate to purchase another one if needed. Owning this tent has been a great experience. "

Took a few tryouts for my husband and I who are "vertically challenged" to efficiently get it opened and closed on our lifted 4runner but we got it down now and can be on the road lickety split! "The Tuff Stuff Alpha annex ripped on me the first time I used it. Tuff Stuff told me ot was my fault for running two poles horizontal instead of vertical even though the research I did said to. Run them horizontal amd there were no directions that came with the annex. "
