"We ordered a Dell power supply from atxpowersupplies.com, or Two Point Enterprise. Before the order arrived, I googled the company name to determine what the credit card charge was for and found many complaints about their shipping scam. I knew before the order arrived that we made a big mistake by dealing with these losers.

What they do is provide a cross reference chart on their site to identify the part number for your specific computer. They then ship you some random power supply that you can't use in that computer, and charge you at least three times the actual shipping price to send that useless piece of equipment to you. If you can manage to get a refund directly from them, they will of course try to keep the shipping charges. And therein lies the scam.

My hunch is that these people have a few power supplies sitting on a shelf. Regardless of which part you need or actually order, they will put some random part in a box and ship it to you. If you ship the part back (make sure you get proof of delivery) and they do eventually credit you for the purchase, they still make a nice profit off the bogus shipping charge (which they will refuse to refund).

If you have been scammed by this company, contact your credit card company immediately. This serves two important purposes. First, you will get all of your money back, including the shipping charges (sending you the wrong part does not entitle them to keep the bogus shipping charge). Second, merchants with a large volume of charge backs will eventually be shut down because the credit card companies find them too risky. They also pay a fee for every charge back they receive. Dealing directly with the scammer doesn't guarantee you a refund and it does nothing to deter their fraudulent behavior. "
