"Ordered an intel motherboard with a socket 478. Board arrived DOA, in addition there was no driver CD, the board looked old and used. Txmicro does not answer phone, cc payment was accepted by tigersurplus who also doesn't answer phone. It smells like scam operation. Fine print says no cash refunds so it must be scam. I should have heeded the warning of others and stayed clear of this site. I don't feel I should have to pay for shipping to return a DOA board.
If TXmicro can correct this problem at no additional cost to me I'll update my review, if not I hope mastercard can get a refund for me for the full purchase price.

" I bought a PcChips motherboard from this store. Before it was delivered I had to go out of town for over 3 weeks for work. After returning, I installed the board and tried to boot the pc. I got nothing, and spent the next several days trying to solve the problem. I finally determined the board was DOA. After contacting Ryan, I was told there is only a 30 day return policy. I am now stuck with a $62 dollar dead board.
This board was delivered with only an i/o shield. No manual or cd, which makes me believe this was not a new board as advertised, but a returned board that probably didn't work for the original buyer.

"First off, I just want to say how satisfying it is to type this dissatisfied note on the keyboard that I paid MORE THAN TWICE AS MUCH AS ADVERTISED after the first keyboard did not work!
Look. This company is crap and has the worst return policies on the planet, so buyer beware. (they are also known as microgoodies.com) If you have something go bad, no matter what the price, they make you pay to ship it back to them. I know, I know "that don't sound unreasonable" ...but figure in this: The keyboard I purchased (only because of its low price) was $11.88 + shipping (of about $6). The keyboard was DOA (don't they test this crap?). I called the company and told them I wanted a new keyboard *at their expense* and I was directed to "****@****". There are 8 "must do" steps to return the item, with #2 on the list being "Make sure the *serial number* has not been removed". This is fantastic considering THE FLIPPIN' SERIAL NUMBER AND PART NUMBER ARE INKED OUT ON THE BACK!!! FYI...this company claims this is an OEM item (OEM meaning *new* but without software or manual). I found a bright light and managed to get the numbers from under the ink. Best of all, they refuse to pay for shipping the bad item back to them, but will pay to send the new one back to you (how noble)...oh, and you have 7 days from when you get the "8-step" email to get it back to them "OR THE RMA WILL BE VOIDED". (you wish)
Well, I got the email on a Tuesday, got everything packed up and copied out with the exact stuff needed within a few days. The post office would only guarantee the delivery by the next Tuesday with priority mail. It cost me $9.98 to send the bad keyboard back. So now, this lovely keyboard, that started at $11.88 + $6 shipping is now up to $27.86 (btw...that let me use the special calculator button on the keyboard...trying to get my money's worth here). So, in short, I could have gotten a better keyboard for the money from a different online store.
I will never buy from this company ever again. Keep in mind, they WANT you to buy the bad items and not return them because you realize you will have to pay twice as much for them. That is why they sell the $1 and $0.50 items...so they can pawn off the stuff that don't work or is returned, and you won't pay shipping to send it back. Its a scam folks...don't fall for it!
Hey TXMICRO, screw your return policy! See what great things happen when you don't take care of your customers? Told you I wouldn't pay for the shipping back to you...it looks like your company will be paying for it after all...in bad reviews. I'll be sure to tell everyone I know how I was treated by your crappy store.

I sent a note back to TXMICRO about the post I did here on resellerratings.com. They were very professional about the comments and after an email conversation about return policies and customer service, they have credited back the $9.98 return shipping on the DOA item! Thanks, TXMICRO...it shows you do appreciate your customers and I applaud you for that. BTW, I have also cleaned up my original post per resellerratings.com's request. I have changed my rating from "dissatisfied" to "satisfied"!

Addressing the comment made in the statement above about my posting: Of course I contacted the company (Immediately!)...I won't settle for terrible customer service and warped return policies...I simply won't deal with them anymore, and I'll let all my (computer) friends know how I was treated. And YES it made me angry (please read my post again closely), but the company came back and did the right thing AFTER several emails and convincing that they were not being fair over a few weeks time, so I changed my rating. After reading YOUR review, I thought "Why would this person be willing to live with an unfair policy??". I would hope you wouldn't. BTW...how do you know I'm a "he"?? (Hmmmm...) "First off I have bin a custumer with this place for at least 3+ years or so. To read that comment about the dead power supply ect. I'm lost for words to comment that. This place has bin A+ for me. I have purchased all kinds of things from this place. Would have to say over 20 individual orders with multiple items on each order and am totally satisfied with everything about this place. Only 1 time I recieved some faulty harddrives, . Theese were clean pulls, I believe 5 out of 8 were bad. I didn't have any problems when I called about it. I sent them back so they could see for themselves what I got. That there was bad ones in the whole lot. I know they immeadiately took them off the site so no more got out the door and they exchanged me with some 9 gig refurbed seagates they had, which at the time was better than the 6 gig IBMs. Also had the new drives to my door in a couple days with out a hitch. Evan the few dollars it may of cost to ship back is really nothing anyway. For one the price was way lower than anywhere else at the time + I got new drives that were better than the others and would have cost more and they never charged extra for them + had them to my door with fast shipping so I really didn't get shut down on the builds I was doing back then. And the distance from Texas to michigan. To have something like that cleared up online buying that fast is damm good. I've dealt with a lot of places with things like that and the run arounds I've got. I would have to say I got total custumer service and fast action on the matter with out having to go through a pile of red tape on it. You don't get service like that from most of these places ya deal with. I thought I would bring this up so others don't take this place wrong. I thought I would mention this. I didn't come to this site to comment on Tx micro return issues. I came to this site to give a place credit for the past 3+ years of business I have done with them and comment on how happy I am with some of the things I have bought that are not evan computer related, like an electric Razor I bought, a RC controlled Toy, an in car combo cooler and food warmer item, a 22" Monitor that I hooked up like a TV set and the picture Quality I get out of it is awesome. and variuos other items that are not evan computer related at these incredible low prices that I use everyday. Also all the computer related stuff that is all top quality and low priced. A person can buy stuff off this site and resell it and make money off a lot of it as well. Also the times I have called it is nice to talk to the lady that answers the phone and can give ya all the info ya need and knows all the products ect, and just nice to talk to. All I can say with this site has bin good to me and would not afraid to buy anything from them. I would recomend to check them out, new stuff all the time. for the amount of stuff I have bought and I have not 1 thing I could complain about. It is very well put together and agin it is nice when ya can call a place and talk to someone thatis nice as well as knows what is going on. Ya just don't get that from most places that sell in high volumes and low prices. Again I must say I would disregard that comments posted with that powersupply shipping polocy nonsence.
