"I'm floored by the terrible service I received from Doorware.com. I purchased a deadbolt/door handle set that cost closet to $300. #1 they sent me the wrong deadbolt. While waiting to exchange for the correct deadbolt I installed the door handle and found it to be very flimsy for the amount of money paid. The interior was made of plastic and after installation, the handle started to jiggle immediately. I decided to return the entire unit and get a refund as I'd found an Emtek set that cost the same and was made of much higher quality materials. I did not have the exact original packaging and the box I received the handle in had been cut so Doorware.com said they could not refund me my money. They also claimed the handle had been damaged which is a blatant lie. I got tired of arguing with them and said to just return it to me. They then wanted ME TO PAY FOR THE SHIPPING! Here's the thing. You're not going to get any sort of deal purchasing from Doorware.com. Use your local lumber/hardware distributor where you can both see and feel the products, they're made of better materials, they're guaranteed, and they cost the same or less."
"In looking for a specific type of hinge, I stumbled across these guys. They had what I was looking for, and at the best price I could find. There's just not a lot of feedback on them. I decided to take a chance and ordered anyway. My shipment finally arrived & I got just what I was looking for.
So, the good is they are legit & I had no trouble receiving my order. The website and shopping cart work reasonably well considering the complexity of ordering hardware.
Now the bad. While the order immediately shows up in their system, and you get a confirmation email quickly the updates pretty much stop there. Nothing changes until a ship notification hits your inbox. I was about to send an email asking about actual status when I received the ship notification. So, if your items are not immediately in stock, your order can sit in the system with no indication as to exactly what is happening."
