"I had a super experience, they
Got me information in a timely
Fashion, cost a little more but
Worth it.....Christian was Awesome!"
"When I came across US Vessel Documentation I quickly found all the forms I needed to register my dad's old boat. I didn't speak to an actual person, but I accessed everything with ease and got a fast return"
"I came across the site thinking it was USCG official site. I completed forms online and hit send along with payment. I then realized it was not USCG site and immediately asked for my money back and to cancel the application. All within minutes. They refused to give me my $475 back. They are real dirtbags, I dont know how they sleep at night. Id be worried about leaving the office at the end of the day and walking into a dark parking lot."
"THIS OUTFIT IS DECEPTIVE AMD FRAUDULENT. LIKE THE OTHERS, I WAS A SUCKER FOOLED OUT OF MY MONEY."
"I must admit I highly recommend this online processing firm. I needed to submit an application for renewal. I went on their site and entered all my information. It was the easiest thing. Right off the bat, they mention that they are a private company, so there was no confusion in that. Check them out for yourself. You will be very happy with their service. Thanks again for the quick service!!!"
"Got the "official looking" in the mail. The thing that caught my eye was the .us domain name, which is for private use, and typically used by scumbags looking to prey on the unaware. 75 bucks to renew through them. Spent 3 minutes renewing through the official site.
Here it is so you don't fall for the scam: https://www.pay.gov/public/form/start/1175233"
"Sean Mallos is a total scumbag. Didn't realize it wasn't an official renewal until it was too late. Letter does say it's not an official Coastguard renewal but you have to read the fine print to find that out. Letter looks official. 3X the cost of doing it through the regular process which is just as easy as renewing with US Vessel Documentation. Immediately tried to get my money back but the thieves already had it. Never did get my renewal. "
"I am sure everyone complain about the same thing, their service take months and worst than that is that they are scam artists, to renew the cost guard documentations cost $26 and if you are late there is a $6 penalty.
These guys pretend to be the coast guard, communicate with you as if they were coast guard and charge $450!!!!!!
Total scam and worst service ever! Be ware! "
"There is no way to talk to an actual person. the only service they provide is charging an extra $49 service fee. DON'T BE FOOLED. Save yourself time and money and just go direct to USCG for renewal - http://www.dco.uscg.mil/Our-Organization/Deputy-for-Operations-Policy-and-Capabilities-DCO-D/National-Vessel-Documentation-Center/"
"NI got all of my annual registration done, prepaid years in advance. I went on their site and I don't have to worry about it anymore....I just get notified it was taken care of. not sure what the rest of these folks are talking about, I never thought they were the coastguard. They even have a disclaimer. "
"Got a letter for annual USCG documentation renewal for our boat. I did not realize this company is not authorized by the Coast Guard to issue documents until after I placed the order. Two minutes later I tried calling to cancel but you cannot talk to anyone. I got on their chat line at the web site and cancelled the order. They replied that the renewal was cancelled but they refused to refund the payment. Now I have to fight with Amex. I hate companies like this."
"US Vessel Documentation Company is a total scam. These people are presenting themselves as a USCG service provide, which they are not, they are actually liars. They steal your money with a phony website that is not tied to anything from the USCG. And they will never answer your calls, their phone system is setup to route everyone to a recorded message that says send an email which they ignore. If you were taken in by these crooks, take to your bank and submit a fraud claim against them.
"
"The USCG site is the place to go when in need of any kind of paperwork for your vessel, either is changing the owner or a reinstatement, anything goes. Highly grateful to US Vessel Documentation for all their help in my situation. Thanks, guys!
"
"They claim "the first to offer an application process that's 100% online" They claim to be "the largest in the world" They claim to be "the #1 rated". None of these claims are even close to true. Their website has only been up since mid 2016. They also misstate the 46 CFR 67.500 (e) and claims they are unable to refund processing fees paid to these scammers because of this CFR provision. This is a complete lie.
Here are 2 other online services that are legitimate and at half the cost.
https://www.yachtdocsonline.com/transfer-of-documentation will be half the cost ($250 vs $475)
http://www.oceanyachtllc.com/ also offers online
