"Amazing school! Great learning environment with excellent teachers and staff. Clean facility with tons of fun activities for the kids both indoors and outdoors. Promotes independence and socialization for all the kids in a safe and caring environment. So glad we are here!"
"I generally like the school and teachers, but regular staff turnaround has made it difficult to maintain a consistent environment for my daughter. Additionally, it seems like the school keeps adding programs in order to charge additional fees and the programs are either unnecessary or they cover things that should already be happening, such as a pre-k program for kids in the pre-k classroom, who should already be receiving a pre-k education for the tuition I am already paying"
"Overall it’s been really great."
"U-gro just feels like it is run like a for-profit business rather than a school. While I understand its a common complaint that the tuition is too high, I do not understand the whole Wondercamp thing that was forced on us this summer. Parents are forced to pay $14 more a week for these supposed extra summer activities. However, it turned out most days nothing extra was going on that would warrant such a charge. Having paid over $100 already feels like a total rip off, which supports my comment about it feeling like a for-profit business. I am all for doing different fun things over the summer, but it should not come at a cost for parents. U-gro should be looking for ways to save parents money, not looking for ways to charge them more.Otherwise the teachers here have been fantastic. Ms. JoVaughn is an absolute gem and any child would be lucky to have her as a teacher. She takes passion in her job and should be commended for her dedication!"
"We've had an incredible experience with U-Gro! Our child has grown in many ways, but we've especially noticed and been thrilled by the growth in his social skills. This felt especially important to us given that he spent so much of his first two years at home due to COVID. We love his teachers, and we're consistently impressed by the communication and updates we get from them."
"Overall experience has been fantastic. My only complaint is that multiple times a week we are asked to keep the kids home for safe ratio purposes. This has been on-going. More teachers need to be hired. This is unacceptable. Occasional occurances are ok but not weekly."
"This school has been amazing! The teachers (especially Miss Kayla, Steviesue, and Keyana) and director Courtney are very kind and loving. They got to know our toddler very well in a short amount of time. They take AMAZING care of her. She’s so happy there. We came from a terrible daycare experience at an entirely different school and were skeptical of giving another daycare a chance but we felt so welcomed on the first day and could not be happier. They provide special accommodations as needed for my daughter and I know they do the same for others. They are very flexible. The app is great! It’s very clean. The playgrounds are awesome. We have nothing bad to say about this school."
"Great experience, teachers are very caring and would love to see them valued/rewarded by upper management because they are the reason we stay with Ugro."
"Has been very positive until recently."
"Very happy with Brycen's experience in the school. My only area of improvement would be the director's responsiveness. Having to ask in person multiple times to respond to an email sent many weeks ago with still no response up is unprofessional and making us feel not valued."
"When we first enrolled in 2018 I could not be more pleased with the nurturing environment and trust I had in my children’s teachers. While I believe my 3 year olds teachers maintain a caring environment, plan engaging activities for the children throughout the day, communicate effectively, and value academics, I cannot say the same for my Pre-K child. UGro has got to make it a priority to show value to their staff and provide support and training to the staff to allow them to grow into competent teachers. There is very little evidence of any sort of curriculum being followed for this entire school year in the Pre-K room, communication was scarce, and the majority of times when I pick my child up from that room it is chaotic and I am unsure if the teacher even noticed me picking up my daughter. This is the first time in 5 years that I have sincerely questioned the safety of my child while at school and the competence of the staff in charge."
"Being that he was home with me for the first year and change, this was a BIG transition. He has been with U-GRO for just over a month and the improvement I've seen already in his skills/confidence levels is pretty incredible. He's gotten so comfortable at the center, he's becoming very independent there and explorative and its been so wonderful to watch. His teachers are incredible, too. They are always sharing new skills and stories with us and I know if he's ever having a rough day, they are so incredibly warm and supportive towards him. They know what to do to console him and make him feel at ease. I'm so grateful that when I drop him off, I don't have a pit in the bottom of my stomach. I'm excited for him and all the things he'll get to do that day while he's there. Its been a wonderful expereince so far!"
"My child has maintained friendships and adult relationships over their 5 years here. They have always enjoyed their teachers and environment. They are ready to head to kindergarten and I feel I have had to do little other than encourage their love of learning."
"We have been attending here 4+ years now with 3 kids and have had a great experience. The staff is so caring and goes above and beyond. The director is all time. She is very organized and interacts with each of our kids frequently."
