"I bought some makeup online, with shipping to my home address. Package was shipped, claimed to be delivered by the carrier, but it was nowhere to be found. When that happens other stores commonly make it very easy to resolve. Not Ulta. I reached out 3 times Via online chat, they kept saying just wait longer. Then eventually 2 weeks after purchase they said I need to call because chat customer support does not resolve issues like that. So I called, representative kept repeating my name every 3rd word and sounded super incompetent. They said well, since tracking claims it was delivered there's nothing they can do. Eventually after 20 mins of back and forward, her going to manager and so on they say we shipped replacement. And I was like 1st of all I already got same items from Target, cuz Target actually delivers, and I want refund instead. Against my request they still shipped replace that was also not delivered and gave me phone of Master Card customer service claiming that it's "the person who can help you with refunds" without revealing that they are just giving me runaround. Side note I paid with Visa. "
"I placed an order on the website for $270+. The package was never delivered even though UPS claims it was. After weeks of trying to resolve the issue (and an hour-long phone call), Ulta is ultimately holding ME responsible. They sent a very glib email saying they will not resend or refund, and they consider the matter closed. Awful company. "
"I received a 20% off prestige brands through my email and when I tried to use the code it kept saying it was invalid. I called the telephone help line and they hung up on me twice just after asking me to rate the representative who never talked to me. The online representative told me to enter the code which kept coming back invalid. Guess I won't be ordering online again. The customer service in the store is great so guess I just will shop there."
"Received a wrong shipment and they helped refund easily in the past. Received the wrong shade and they helped refund me that one item.
Just received a shipment and it was missing another item. So I’m not sure what the issue is.
Truly love make up and trying new products. Just wish the orders came as expected.

"I have gone to 2 Ulta locations and both of them have the worst customer service which gives Ulta an extremely bad look to their company. The first Ulta is in Racine, WI on Washington ave. The cashier passed by my daughter to help the person standing behind her in line to check out and when I told my daughter to go to the cashier anyways the cashier rolled her eyes and spoke with an attitude. The second Ulta located in Gurnee, IL I am checking out and I was purchasing Redkin Anti-Snap and the young lady had told me that the special was buy 2 get one free . I said ok I would like another one please and the manager was just standing there doing absolutely nothing and she says to me " You can get another one on the back far wall in the back of the store". So I go walk and get my own bottle. This is the image for Ulta. VERY POOR customer service! What is customer service supposed to be? Well I am a customer of Ulta but their co-workers do not offer any service to their customers. Very Disappointing!!!"

I was then told, when I called later that day, that a gift card is NOT a purchase! LOL.

"My boyfriend ordered me a CHI iron from ulta which was defected since it burned my face after the first time I used it. I gave ulta a call and they sent me a return label and did not even offer anything but a measley 5$ giftcard after I practically begged. Then My boyfriend called and spoke to a so called "manager" who gave him a 10$ off coupon. The call got disconnected so I called back a few days later and they said I declined it and then only offered the 5$ giftcard again. And did not stick to their word of 10$ so I told them I would not be ordering anymore and the rude costumer service lady said with such an attitude "great I'll let everyone know so we don't assist you in the future" talk about crap costumer service. Sephora would never conduct business in such a way. I would advise anyone against ulta. They don't value their costumers, whether it be the defected products they sell or their terrible costumer service. What a pity. "
"tHIS COMPAY SUCKS. Ordered a gift card for Hannukkah on 12/12which ended on 12/24. Not sent until 12/16 received no email arrived today. Custoer service said regular mail 11 to 19 days. IO could have gone to the store and mailed it myself. NEVER BUY FROM ULTA"

Here is the whole story for ALL to know- This store management is HORRIBLE!
An Acting Manager called the sheriff 8/10/11 11:00 a.m. She told them: another customer told her she saw me put something in my purse- AFTER verifying I am HONEST- Had NO Ulta items BUT MY PURCHASE- The police made her come out & apologize- She thought telling me that was "policy" & she was in the right to "see" if I stole is NOT an apology. I was late for an appt. So I called corp. - After 5 hours I called ahead- asked the girl to meet me @ the front of the store for an actual apology, & to speak w/ the store manager- Who was NOT in the store, because she took LUNCH, (but did not have time to call me in the 3hours she had been @ work?) Returned my PURCHASE_ ( they had NOT even checked my ID for a credit card purchase!) They made me WAIT! Assistant manager told me to leave after I got upset. Their loss prevention dept. on their phone- told me to stop talking & Listen - but she had to review the tape to know what to say- AFTER 5 hours! The asst. manger tried to get the idiot manger to LIE & say a "citizen" called the cops! Police had told me who called- It was the store- "Megan."
They just want me to "go away" They have no remorse- no IDEA they should NOT do this & their corp. has NOT said anything but to tell me to calm down- Still waiting for return call from corp. - its been ALMOST 24 hours.... NOTHING

"I will never shop at Ulta again! I went in a few months ago to buy cosmetics and was offered free issues to INStyle magazine. I know about the scam where they automatically charge your card for a subscription (and I hate the magazine anyway), so I declined the free issues. Against my will, they forwarded my credit card information to the magazine company and authorized them to charge it. This is a scam and is illegal! You can count on the fact that if you use a credit card in that store, they have the ability to give the info out to another company and charge on it."
"I have ordered many items from ULTA.com before and have been extremely satisfied. I received this last order on 8/13. With my last order, a nail polish from a gift bag had spilled just inside the tissue paper in the bag and nothing else. Not in a hurry, since it is just one item, I emailed Guest Services to see if they can replace the item. Today, 8/25, I finally received a response:

Thank you for contacting ULTA.com. I apologize for any inconvenience. We have fun out of that free gift and don’t have anymore of the nail polishes.
