As the shipping cost was comparatively high, I ordered goods for about 100 dollars including shipping cost to make it worthwhile. I received assistance from the chat service and everything seemed marvellous.

After placing the order and paying through Paypal, I found that my order was a suspected fraud at Umiteasets. Highly puzzled, I tried to contact them. No response. I googled the company and found the reviews here. "Damn", I thought, "I am the one who have been subjected to fraud! Oh well, I should have been more careful. I will probably not get my stuff or if I do, they will not be what I ordered, to judge from what these reviews say."

I opened a Paypal dispute about the issue and not until some time after this did I receive additional service through Umiteasets chat. They said that something was wrong with the page loading upon payment and thus the fraud was suspected, but the payment was registered and the order was being packaged. I was asked to close the Paypal dispute but refused until the package arrived, something Umitessets accepted.

A few weeks later I was surprised to behold that DHL delivered the order to me, and everything was the way I asked save for one thing: one item was missing. In the chat service I gave two simple choices; send me the missing item (or at least refund me) or get hell at Paypal, review sites, forum and amongst all my tea-drinking friends.

Umiteasets did not hesitate to offer me the item being sent to me straight away and considering that I actually got my package (more or less) I chose to trust them. They also apologised for the missing item, mentioning that someone probably opened the package on the way and forgot to put the item back (The Swedish custom department had indeed been sneaking into the package so this is probably not the fault of Umiteasets).

In the moment of writing I have just had the shipping of the missing item ensured, I have closed the Paypal dispute and the good will of Umiteasets is something I want to spread the message about. Umiteasets asked me to write about my experiences of them on this website. As a deserving contrast to the other rather bad reviews I did not hesitate to do so. All experiences should be shared and I am always keen on giving honest feedback to the service I receive.

In all, I give Umiteasets 4/5 stars since they, save for sometimes poor communication, have actually committed to honest business. I am very likely to buy from this company again."

"DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM! My tea set arrived broken into many pieces. They did a very poor job of packing the tea set. I contacted them immediately upon opening the package and got no response. I contacted them two more times, and still no response. I contacted Pay Pal who processed my payment, and they contacted UMI, who responded that they would not refund my money. I shipped the tea set back to them and provided tracking information, and still I have heard nothing nearly 4 months later. BUYER BEWARE. I'm out $150 and have nothing to show for it. I will never order from them again and hope I have warned others to do the same."

"Update: The order never arrived and customer services never ever replied to me. Appalling service. After over a month waiting in vain, I claimed my money back via PayPal who refunded me within 3 days.

I have also found this company to be untrustworthy. Good service until the moment I placed my order and completed payment... then suddenly they are uncontactable and I fear the worst. I seriously regret ordering from them.
