"I'm always looking for something different and unique, and that's what you will find at Uncommon Goods. When you give a gift like this (unusual), it shows that you put some thought into it. And it wasn't just giving an Amazon card that took you 17 seconds to think of, purchase and send. Believe me, I've sent a lot of them (Amazon Cards). But in some ways, it's like sending people gift coupons for toilet paper and shampoo....nothing special. I recently sent my niece (who's 35 years old) some really colorful and beautiful ceramic Mexican turtle bowls that come in a set of three. She freaked out and loved them! She couldn't stop raving about them over the phone. It was a gift she will always remember. That filled my heart. On top of that. I received an Uncommon Goods gift from a friend that I just didn't need. It was a great gift, but it just didn't fit my lifestyle. Uncommon Goods let me return a gift that I didn't buy, get a full refund, get another item I love, and did not tell the original gift-giver. I thought that was very thoughtful and smart. So, needless to say, they are a great company with great products that they stand behind."

"Misleading shipping
A major membership perk advertised by uncommongoods is the free 3-5 day shipping is not close to the amount of time it will take to receive the product. There are two separate ways it will take long, both of which are not stated clearly, and lie only within the small text.
First, the businesses have 2-5 days to actually ship it. You will recieve an email when the order is "on its way" but do you think you're going to get it in 3-5 days -- NOPE. There's another second small print in a different location that says they have 24 hours to bring the package to the Fedex and only then does the 3-5 days start.
I chatted with customer service and they were awful, on saying that I was confused and that the package will be delivered on time (which is the absolute last day with all the fine print included).
So yeah, awful customer service. The shipping is meant to be misleading and don't think that you're going to get it by 3-5 days. It can be more than double that time"

"I have ordered several items from Uncommon Goods (and received others as gifts!) and have always been impressed with the quality and craftsmanship. I recently gave my in-laws a gift from Uncommon Goods, and my father-in-law threw away some pieces that he didn't understand what they were for (because he didn't look at the instructions, but that's a different story). When I contacted customer service, they promptly responded and offered to send replacement parts at no charge! I did order one item that wasn't what I expected and was able to return it easily. This company is the first place I look for one-of-a-kind gifts!"
"This website is not producing anything. it's like a portal for third-party sellers to sell their custom goods. Like an Etsy. And therefore they have no accountability, nor they can provide information about your order status correctly. Their delivery shipping estimates vary. I ordered an item in December that was supposed to be finished and shipped by mid-January. Beginning of February I started questioning what was with the order as there were literally no updates. They responded that the estimated delivery changed now to the end of February. TWO months since the order, without any progress. The next day, suddenly they prompted the seller to create a shipping label so they can say the item was just shipped. But that's a fake tactic, as the item has never left the warehouse so it was in fact not shipped.
They refuse to accept any cancellations or refunds due to the "custom nature" of the products even though the products were clearly not manufactured yet. I will never order from such an untrustworthy platform again. The sellers can only operate because they don't have any oversight and policies like they would have with amazon, etsy or ebay. Customer service representatives cannot provide accurate information with estimates at least in weeks and are lying about the state of orders."
