"I ordered a power supply over the weekend from Upgrade Source since it was cheaper than anywhere else that I could find. I then came to rellerratings and noticed the VERY low ratings for this company and became very worried (I know, I should have looked here first). By Wednesday evening I had not received an e-mail to confirm shipping and was really getting nervous due to previous user experiences. I called and was on hold for less than 60 seconds and spoke to a very nice customer service rep who advised me that the order had shipped on Tuesday and provided me with the tracking info. I got the PSU today all is well. I can't say for sure if I will use them again since so many have had issues, but I can say that this order was processed quickly and their customer service rep was pleasant to deal with. "
"This has been the best experiance I have had with an online retailer ever. I ordered a monitor from them on the 14th of April. The monitor was out of stock and they told me they expected to recieve them on April 29. Well on April 22 the monitors showed "in-stock" on their real-time stocktracker system. I decided to use their customer service live chat. The rep who helped me was very informative, he told me that my order was being prepared to ship and would ship out any minute. As soon as the order was shipped I revieved an e-mail with my tracking number. I recieved the monitor 3 days later with standard ground shipping and i'm very satisfied. Just when I thought they did a good enough job, today, about 3 days after I recieved my order I was sent a small thank you note from them. The note thanked me for my business and asked me if there were any problems. It was hand-signed and everything. I've never seen such service with an online company and I would certainly use them again."
"I will use this vendor again. Excellent response to E-mails, phone mail and Live on-line chat. Motherboard I purchased took two months to arrive, but that was not this vendors fault. Communications were clean and shipment was made a.s.a.p. after product arrived to them. Buy with confidence!"
"After not hearing from this company for 5 days, I emailed asking about my order. They stated the address for the credit card I submitted was not approved, yet a temporary charge was already placed on my credit card for the full amount. I had already received several packages to that address using that credit card so I knew something was not right. Just to make sure, I contacted my credit card company and verified the address was approved. When I then emailed this company stating that not only was the address approved for my credit card, but explained that they should have informed me days ago, they then decided to let me know that the item "was out of stock". Their website stated specifically that the item was in stock. This is a sign of a disorganized, non-professional company. There is a lot of competition out there, I will take my business elsewhere and I suggest anyone reading this does the same."
"I ordered an OEM 40gb Western Digital hard drive from upgrade source late on a sunday night and it was in my hands 4 days later on thursday and that was with cheap ground shipping. The actual drive came packaged very well - full anti-static bag with fitted foam pieces to keep the drive safe. I didn't really look around their site too much but they had the lowest price for this drive and shipping was reasonable ( 6 bucks ). The drive included an 8 month warranty but I have had no trouble so far but if something pops up ill modify my rating. Good seller, satisfied customer."

I would be very reluctant, if I were you, to give them your credit card number.
They are running some kind of scam, or they are screwed up beyond belief.

"Order a Video Card from their website. The website at time of order stated that product was in stock. After order email said product was out of stock and would ship in two week. They CHARGED credit card at this time although they had not ship product. Almost two weeks later another email stated product was to out of stock wait another two weeks. I Canceled order at this point and still have not recieved any refund credit to my credit card and I am now disputing this transaction with credit card company. If they could charge my credit card right after I order product - why can they not issue credit right after I canceled order?
And why was my CC charged when product was not even in stock or shipped?
In my opinion, there is something is wrong with this company.

"I ordered the new ATI Radeon 9700 Pro card from these guys since they had a great price. Well I needed to build a gaming box ASAP so when I found the card here locally (since I was told several times that the cards were coming in any day and would ship at least 3 different times) I bought it at CompUSA and canceled my order with Upgrade Source.
Upgrade Source was great with the cancellation but it took a whole billing cycle to get the credit on my account. Plus, when I viewed my statement online I saw that they credited all but $10.00 back to me. I called their Customer Service department and found out that their is a $10 cancellation fee if you cancel within 15 days of an order. I don't recall seeing this on their site anywhere. The customer service rep sensed my reaction upon being told this and asked me if I wanted him to take care of it. Of course I told him I wanted my $10 back!! He said he understood my situation that I was expecting the card and did not get it when I thought I would. So after this I am not sure if you call and complain if they will just credit your $10 back or if it depends on the situation.
Now this post is not to hammer Upgrade Source because up to the $10 fiasco I was happy with how the whole thing played out. I just want the buyer to know what they are getting into should they cancel and wonder why they are coming up $10 short on the credit."

9-18-02 UPDATE... They finally issued a credit to my card today, however it is $10.00 short? I'll call the CC co. To dispute this. I heard that these guys do this type of thing alot & hope that no one misses the few dollars here & there.

Well they credited my card alright. The thing is they were short by $10.00. Not wanting to bother with them anymore, I called the CC co Who said that they would take care of it. I learned Upgrade source's (invisable)policy with cancelled orders is, Even though they didn't have the product in stock (contrary to their sites info) If you cancel an order, THEY STILL CHARGE YOU THE SHIPPING!! They shipped nothing, spent nothing but want my $10.00! & isn't it strange that the shipping cost exactly $10.00. I plan to e-mail this link to anyone & everyone. Stay away from these Carpetbaggers!

"Ordered a CDROM/DVD reader - web site said one (1) in stock - $68. Selected 1-3 day express ground shipping ($15!).
Four days later I get an email stating that it would ship in 4-7 days. Sigh, but ok - stuff happens.
Eight days later I check their website and notice (a) there are none in stock and (b) the price has dropped to $59.
I decide to email their helpdesk asking for (a) status update, (b) discount of $9 since this has been delayed so long. BTW - I also noticed that my credit card was already charged for the full $83!!!
Helpdesk replied back saying estimated shipment in 1-2 weeks (!!), and that in order to get the new price, I would have to cancel my current order which would be subject to a $10 penalty! So much for customer service!
Anyway, I have used this company before (couple years ago) and was completely satisfied. Today, my opinion has changed 180 degrees. There are plenty of online resellers out there, with much better service. Sorry upgrade source, you'll never see me again!"
"Ordered an Antec Plus660 mini-tower case. Great price. Seemed to take a little long to get out the warehouse door, but arrived within 7 business days nonetheless. A nonstandard shipper was used (I assume because I live within 60 miles of the warehouse) such that US wasn't able to confirm delivery. Customer service contacted me to let me know the package was shipped and asked that I let them know when I had signed for it. Bottom line is that the CSR was very professional and convinced me that he actually cared."
"3D Animator, overall the website is easy to navigate and very good prices in some products, the problem is when you need to make a cancelation on an item, even before it's shiped to you, their finance department needs one month to put the money back on the credicard. I canceled an item when after I placed the order they send me an e-mail telling me is backordered and you will receive it in 2 weeks, In one week it will close a month and the money is no in the credit yet"
