"If you only read one part of this review read this: DO NOT BUY FROM UPSCALE GALLERY.
We placed our order for several pieces of Waterford Crystal in late Oct for a dinner we are having for Christmas. A few days after placing the order we got an email from the staff saying that the item is on back order, but not to worry we would have it delivered in a few weeks.
Fast forward to now, a few weeks before Christmas, it turns out they were looking at someone else's order the entire time, and even after confirming 3 times that they had canceled the order they have now charged us (months after the initial purchase) and shipped the product.
Their communication and unwillingness to even attempt to remedy the situation have made this the worst online purchasing experience I have ever had."

DON'T BUY FROM THIS SITE! TRUST US REVIEWERS! WE ARE POSTING THESE REVIEWS TO PREVENT YOU FROM GOING THRU WHAT WE ARE/HAVE EXPERIENCED!!
It is now a month later. All communication from UPG has stopped. Last email stated that Wedgwood itself was all out of my bowls. Hard to believe when I see them for sell on other sites. Asking for a refund. Sending off information to NY Better Business Bureau. If you have been scammed too, please contact the BBB of NY.
Ordered. Two days later received email all ten items were out of stock. Should be sent soon. Waited. Finally phoned to get tracking number. Got it. Delivered 2+ weeks later. Colors on the items are faded, not vivid like items just received elsewhere in same pattern. Five-piece settings came stuffed in foam peanuts,in plain brown boxes, not standard "display" blue boxes. Spoke with Wedgwood rep. Said Upscalegallery is NOT an authorized dealer, and it sounded to her like they were repackaging old store display stuff and sending it out. Just repeating what she said...old display, sent out. To me. YOU?
I PAID FOR REAL WEDGWOOD AND I DON'T THINK I RECEIVED IT. Have phoned UP to ask about getting money back. My message to you? DON'T SHOP HERE. WARN OTHERS.

"I ordered four 4-piece place settings on August 31, 2009. I was told the items were out of stock but would ship in 1-2 weeks. At the conclusion of 2 weeks, I emailed Upscale Gallery to inquire about the Order. It took them two days to respond that it would be one more week.
Two weeks later, and not a PEEP from Upscale Gallery, I emailed again. After two days of no response (Oct. 1, 2009), I called, and the phone representative stated that three of four placesettings had arrived, and that the fourth would arrive the next day. I stated that I was very disappointed in the broken delivery promises and failure to communicate. The phone representative agreed to send the placesettings via next day air.
A couple hours later, I heard back from my customer contact, who did not seem aware of the previous promise. She wrote the earliest I would receive it was Wednesday (2 days after the previously promised Monday via next day air).
I called the customer contact, Miriam F., who told me that "it just doesn't work out for us" to send via next day air (this was after she put me on hold for 4 minutes). I asked to speak to the manager who had told her to renege on the prior agreement, she put me on hold again, then returned to say it simply was not worth the $100 to send overnight.
The only positive thing I got out of this was that I was able to cancel my order.
UpscaleGallery.com takes orders for items it does not have, not in itself a bad thing, if it can deliver. It will not keep you updated if it does not plan to meet its original delivery projections. You may hear one thing over the phone from one representative to have it contradicted by another. I call this dishonesty, and I'd rather pay $10 more per placesetting not to have to deal with it."
"Upscale Gallery markets a very broad set of items ranging from china, crystal, flatware, kitcheware to collectables.
I was interested in buying a specific Lladro figurine. I had priced this at a number of stores and Upscale Gallery was about 20% cheaper than what I could find on the web or in stores.
I checked Reseller Ratings.com before I ordered to see what I could learn about Upscale Gallery's reliability. Unfortunately no reviews were listed. Generally I am very reluctant to make a sizable purchase from a company not listed on Reseller Ratings.com, but in this case I decided to take a chance.
I placed the order expecting to get an immediate confirmation email and an expected delivery date. I waited 3-4 days, anxiously checking my email for feedback from the company, but no luck.
Finally, I could wait no longer and emailled the company asking about the order. In about an hour I received an email stating simply that the order would be shipped next week.
I impatiently waited until mid-week I noticed that my credit card was charged. The next clue was from UPS who provided a tracking number and a delivery date. I was beginning to feel better.
The order arrived as ordered and was undamaged.
Bottom line, if good communications are important to you, don't choose Upscale Gallery. If a good price and one reliable experience is sufficent and you're willing to buy on faith, Upscale Gallery is an excellent choice.
I am pleased with the product they provided as well as the price. However, their communications needs much improvement.
