"Observed numerous negative reviews here and at some other review sites although there seemed to be a trend to the better side in recent months. Still a little skeptical, I called ahead (they answered immediately, contrary to what some others have supposedly experienced) to confirm that the skis I was eyeing were in fact in stock in their system. They promised to call me back and responded with a phone call within 30 minutes to confirm they had the skis in stock. I completed the online order on Wednesday and received an order confirmation email almost immediately. I then received a shipment notification on Thursday, and the skis and bindings arrived on my doorstep on Saturday morning. I got the best price available with their coupon and free shipping as well. It doesn't get much better than that! I'd certainly do business with them again. I felt as though I got the best value and great customer service.
2/18/20 Note: This is a follow up to my original review on 1/25/20.. Given the previous great experience, I executed two more transactions with these folks, for another pair of K2 skis and two Obermeyer ski jackets. Once again the price and service were great. And the shipping was incredibly fast. Two day delivery via FedEx to my doorstep for both orders. These folks rock!"
"I ordered a pair of bindings from them on 7/10/19. The only thing I received was a confirmation email. No communication with me as to why the order was delayed. After 3 months now, I finally canceled the order. Not expecting to get my money back from this 3rd rate outfit. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY with this company!"

"While the ski selection is commendable, Utah Skis customer service is hands down the worst I have experience in the outdoor industry...or any legitimate industry for that matter.
I initiated a warranty claim in December, eventually shipping skis back to their Utah office (on my own dime), and in the nearly two months since, I have received no response to repeated emails or voicemails.
The entire communication process has been initiated and continued on my end, no proactive updates on their end. Additionally, all responses I have received are incomplete and sophomoric in their avoidance of communication.
Overall, Utah Skis's customer service is reminiscent of a high schooler trying to avoid dealing with a problem or challenge - if I ignore it, maybe it will go away.
In today's day and age where customer adherence, social promotion, and customer lifetime value, Utah Skis is stuck in 2001.

"I live in Utah and bought skis and bindings because I wanted to keep the business local, but they only shipped my bindings. I called the same day and notified them of the mistake had to call 4x to finally get an answer. When I reach a real person, I was only asked for my order number and told someone would get back with me. I waited and when no return call I called again this time I was told they would look into it. I emailed photos of the box 12x12 inches not even enough size to fit hamster skis. I was told then would get me skis tomorrow or at the latest Friday. I waited patiently and when no new tracking number was sent with the Skis I called and was told the shipping manager was too busy to help me picking up orders from other stores and would get back to me too late of course to get the skis before the weekend."
"I recommend HIGHLY that you take your business elsewhere. I placed an order on December 23, 2018. Their shipping policy says they ship within 3 business days. It is now January 3, 2019. Guess what? I contacted them and they don’t have the items. They don’t even plan on shipping them anytime soon because they use multiple ski shops of order from and don’t maintain a warehouse. I asked that they be shipped Monday, a full 2 weeks after the order was placed, or just cancel the order. Their response? They sent me an invoice showing my order was canceled. Wow. Just wow. Some customer service. I asked if they could even send in two separate shipments because my little boy just wants his ski helmet for ski club but nope. They could care less. They don’t answer their phones. And just barely replied to emails today. Sad state of affairs. They really shouldn’t be in this business. Please. Pleassssseeee. "I ordered and paid for a pair of demo skis. After three weeks, still no skis. I emailed a polite note with my order number and still no response. I tried calling several times with no answer. Then I called a few days later and finally got through! They told me that they were "going to call me in a few more days to let me know that they don't have my skis". This was 2 weeks before christmas and a ski trip. I really doubt they were ever going to call.
I asked customer service if this seemed like an appropriate response to not being able to fulfill an on-line order? She said "I don't know I only buy my skis in a store". Thanks Utah Skis, I will be sure to tell allllllll my friends about your not-so-stellar service.

"UtakSkis.com shipped me a pair of gloves. The gloves were left outside my apartment and stolen. After over a month of waiting and repeated failures to respond to my emails, they told me they were not going to refund me. Not even a partial refund, not even an exchange. In fact they said "we don't give away free money". Since when was $125 stolen from me free money? Terrible customer service and extremely unorganized."
"I ordered a ski jacket for 20% less than anywhere else I could find it. I placed the order on a Friday night and called them on a Monday to find out why I had not received any correspondence. A very friendly voice told me that they were closed over the weekend, so they would process my order that Monday. I received my shipping confirmation later that day and within 3 days, I received my package. I am very pleased with my overall experience with Utah Skis and I will be buying from them again."

"I ordered smith IO/7 goggles online expecting them to get delivered in 5 days. Waiting and waiting for the item ship info in my email which had not came. I then call the store and talk with a clerk who informed me they were having a sale at an outdoor event and we are in the process of bringing gear back into the store and once we do an inventory your item should shipped. I plan to call the store tomorrow Monday and cancel the order. Wished I checked the store reviews before placing order. Never had problems like this with countless other online stores like EVO, REI,PETER GLEN,THEHOUSE,ZAPPOS just to name a few."
