"I purchased a large rolling suitcase in November 2018. I recently used it this month for the first time and when I arrived at my destination, the telescoping handle would not lift up. I called customer service as soon as I got to my hotel because I wanted it replaced before I headed home in a week. No such luck. When I arrived home the fabric handle had pulled out of the suitcase on one side. I had to push the suitcase out of the airport by bending over to do so. Called customer again and they wanted to blame the airlines. NO, it's your cheap product. I have 2 other suitcases from Vera Bradley which have been used many times without a problem. I was told to send it in for repair or replacement at my expense. REALLY, where is customer service??? I really don't want to use this suitcase again. When I try to write a review on their site, they tell me to try again. This happened twice."
"After many years, I decided to buy another Vera Bradley bag. Wow, was I surprised! The quilted cotton shells were thin, dull and stiff. The fabric was not soft, like it once was and it lacked the exclusive sheen that it once had.
The totes were so light in weight that they felt like a child's bag. To make matters worse, the Vera logo was etched into a cheap, small, vinyl square and stitched onto the front of the bag. They looked like a cheap knockoff, imported from China. Needless to say, I left the store empty-handed. What a let-down!

"Visited a Vera Bradley store in Delaware today. I was looking at several items when an employee came over and told me to move over because she was showing a customer at item I was looking at. Very rude. When I told manager about it she just said "oh" . Not very professional. Needless to say I left without buying anything. Store lost a greater than $200 sale to sell a $20 clearance wallet. Will never return or buy anything Vera Bradley again."
"If you're looking for an automatic umbrella, Vera Bradley's automatic mini is NOT a good choice. You must use two hands to get it to come down. The sales associates at the store told me this is a common problem. I wish someone had mentioned that in the store BEFORE I bought the umbrella."
"I placed a larger order of about 19 items during their sale as I was going to give the items as gifts - some of which I needed right away for upcoming birthdays. After days of waiting for shipping confirmation They cancelled the order and when I asked why they said that since I was having it shipped to my own personal business they thought I might re-sell it. Are you kidding me? Do they their stuff is that desireavle that I’m going to create my own black market Vera Bradley?! Needless to say after spending over an hour on the phone with them they said they were going to place the order again except for 6 items I couldn’t have now because they were sold out. The items I needed as gifts right away of course. They placed it again and I have them a new address so that they wouldn’t get more delusions of grandeur and ended the call. An hour later I got another email saying it was cancelled again. What a waste of time. Reading these reviews of how the quality has gone downhill for all of their bags has made me feel better that maybe it would have been a disappointment anyway. Just warn anyone thinking about purchasing from them to spare themselves the frustration, waste of time and embarrassment of being unable to give birthday gifts on time. Horrible, awful, ridiculous business. "
"I purchased a purse last fall and after only 4 months of light, normal use the metal piece attaching the strap broke. I took it back to the store but was told Vera Bradley doesn't have any type of warranty. I contacted customer service online and was told the same thing. This is unacceptable to me that the company won't stand behind their product for even 4 months of use!! I will never buy from Vera Bradley again. "
"So upset as just received 4th Vera Bradley villager tote and the qualityis so poor with no comparison to an older villager tote. Very upsetting as I loved the tote. Fabric feels cheap, handle is thinner and not quilted, and I could go on. So very disappointed.

"I'm very frustrated when you spend good money and it doesn't even last two months. One of the straps on my daughter's backpack wasnt even sewn properly. They did not catch the end of the strap when they sewed the seam at the top of the bag . Allowed the strap go come completely lose. You can see on the end of the strap where it was obviously not caught in the seam allowance.

"I had a $30 off coupon to Vera Bradley from a previous purchase. I put in the coupon, the discount was given and then before I could place the order I was forced to set up a new password. Then, I was told my coupon had already been used and I could not use it again. Average many emails, customer service finally got back to me with a replacement code -but The replacement code does NOT work. The message says " No coupon found". I am so done with this company! They are so overpriced to begin with- it is not worth it to put up with such their horrible customers met service."
"I ordered a mailbag, wallet and weekender bag from the Vera Bradley retail site 2 weeks ago. When I received these bags I could tell right away that the fabric quality that just to be the flagship of Vera Bradley has really gone downhill. No more fabric lining, just some slick plastic for the interior and the exterior fabric is stiff and uncomfortable. I will not be wasting my money on any future purchases of Vera Bradley bags. It's really sad that a product that used to be made in the U.S. is now nothing more that a cheap China knock off."
"I ordered 5 cross body bags from Vera Bradley for Christmas gifts for my grand daughters. I received 4 and then they sent me a fifth one that was completely different than the others. I contacted Vera Bradley but received no response. I re-ordered another bag but did not receive it until after Christmas. I wrote a review, but Vera Bradley rejected it. Their Customer Service is absolutely terrible."
"I purchase a bag pack for my daughter in December and after 4 months was useless , the bottom opened up, the suture line became undone , I took the item to the Vera Bradley store at the Houston Outlets in Cypress Texas, the manager " Andrea" did not help at all and described the defect as wear and tear, after 4-5 months? no return or exchange was accepted. Not recommended ."
