Great customer service!

"I ordered Felizmazole for my cat on 1/22/16 (about half the price of what the vet charged me). I realized I had made an error when I submitted the order, so I emailed customer service asking them to change the dosage and adjust the price. Within an hour, I got an email response saying they'd taken care of it and had debited my account for the difference. I received an email the following Monday that my vet had been faxed the request; I received my order on 1/30 by USPS. Can't really ask for any better service than that!"

"I was under the impression that when I purchased a package of trifexis that my vet would be contacted soon after, but the only thing that happened immediately was a charge to my debit card. It took almost one week for VetDepot to contact my veterinary clinic and an additional 2 days thereafter for the shipment process to even begin. Please note that my vet sent the paperwork back on the same day and I only received a tracking number after I sent an email to VetDepot expressing my frustration and disappointment with them--hello, a little communication might ease some concern over your slow business processes.

Edit: 12/15/15 , I received my order in the mail as well as a phone call from a representative. She apologized to me, took ownership, on behalf of VetDepot, for their shortcomings and informed me that they are working to improve the manner in which they conduct business. I am still unsure if I will continue to work with them in the future, but it is nice to know that they are trying to listen to their consumers. I appreciated the call.

"I found Vet Depot thru an online search for medicine for my cat. They also go by Allivet.com.
I called to verify that they carried the brand PAR as shown on their website. The CS rep said that is the brand I will receive. I placed the order. The order did not arrive within 3 days as stated by the CS rep. It took longer and when I did receive it I looked at the address and instead of my house number and street they posted my entire credit card number there right on the mailing label. Yes, you read that right my entire credit card number not just the last 4 digits the whole card number!
The post office had to figure out what the street address was in order to deliver. Thus delaying the delivery of some much needed pet med. Now everyone has my credit card number. To make matters worst the medicine sent was not the PAR brand as they stated. It was some other generic brand. When I called the CS Rep said let me look into what happened and call you back. She called back and said they don't know how my credit card number got on the mailing label. She couldn't explain how I received a different brand of the medicine ordered. She said she would have the owner contact me. They never did. I was offered full credit for medicine that I could not use. I ended up having to pay twice as much at a local vet pharmacy b/c I was now out of medicine and could not wait any longer. If you want to take the chance of having your credit card # posted for all to see then use Vet Depot or Allivet. Unreliable and dishonest about their products. Scary they don't know how to guard your private credit card information.

"The most infuriating thing about VetDepot is THEY NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE. Every time I call I get their freaking voicemail. Lots of initial back-and-forth with them and my vet just trying to get my prescription approved; a few weeks later, I logged back in to reorder, and I get an error message that says they "can't find my prescription" (which has two refills remaining) and to call their 800 number, which, of course, dumps me in voicemail. I'm done with Vet Depot and have moved on to another company to fill my pets' prescriptions."

"I placed two orders and one was a refill. I was charged the full amount for my order, even though one was not approved four days later and I had to call to find out the process. The one was a refill and it was ok'd but the other was waiting on approval.
Since my card was charged several days ago, I called to see what the status was. I was informed they were both being held up due to the one waiting on the vet. When I asked about changing it, I was told by Vanessa that I had to call in an additional order. I asked how people called in orders and she said "sometimes they do". So I asked HER to do it. She was very reluctant. She then said she talked to her supervisor (Courtney) who told her to change the order.
You can never get these folks on the phone and it always goes to voicemail. What is going on here? They precharge and don't send it? I will contact the attorney general's office in that state to look this company up and find out what they are doing. I love their prices, but am concerned at their business practices.

"Buy with confidence! I was disappointed that they process your credit card when you place your order, rather than after receiving the necessary prescription from your vet. In my case, our vet never got their request for the prescription, and after a week went by, & phone calls & emails from Vetdepot, I mailed the prescription (which i would have done at the beginning if i had known that there would be a delay on my vet's end). They followed up due to the delay, and were willing to quickly ship the order at no cost, which I greatly appreciate. Received the order today! Thanks Vetdepot. NOTE: get a copy and mail the prescription since you don't want to depend on your vet's busy office taking on this task."

"Be careful ordering from this company if you need prescription meds in a timely manner. The sent my prescription to the wrong vet - 3 days after I submitted the order. The vet who prescribed the meds was not contacted, eventhough I input all the correct information on the website. I will now have to have the medicine for my cat filled locally at a compounding pharmacy since there is no way I will get it in a reasonable time frame due to this error. And I have a vet I did not contact calling me - confused as to why they were asked to fill this prescription! So if speed is important to you - I would not recommend this company.

Also - if you try to call the customer service number during business hours - it just directs you to use the website and it goes straight to voice mail. There is no response from the toll free number - you have to send an email to get their attention.

This is the second major screw up I have experienced with this company trying to get a prescription filled. The first time they made it right after a substantial delay, but this latest incident indicates a pattern. There is really no excuse for contacting the wrong vet to fill a prescription.

I am not happy with this company.

"First time ordering anything online and I am very pleased! My dog's antiseptic shampoo costs $22 at the vet for an 8 oz bottle. I am so happy I found VetDepot! I got a 16 oz bottle for $23- so much better than the vet's price! Ordered on Monday night and got it today (Thursday). Box and bottle were in very good shape. Will DEFINITELY order from them again!!"
