"I ORDERED A COMPLETE COMPUTER SYSTEM FROM VIDEO COMPUTER STORE AND HAVE NOT RECEIVED IT. THEY CASHED MY CHECK AND DID NOT SEND ME MY COMPUTER SYSTEM I ORDERED. I GOT RIPPED OFF TOO. I WROTE A CHECK FOR $1,896.00. THIS COMPANY STOLE MY MONEY LIKE THOUSANDS AS WELL.
THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD NOT LET THIS COMPANY GET AWAY WITH THIS. THIS HAS SCARED ME EMOTIONALLY BY NOT TRUSTING ANYONE TO SEND CHECKS, MONEY AND NOT BUYING ANYTHING ON THE TV OR INTERNET.
I UNDERSTAND WHAT THE OTHER CUSTOMERS WHO WERE RIPPED OFF AS WELL GOING THROUGH. IT HAS BEEN 2 YEARS NOW AND WE STILL HAVEN'T RECEIVED OUR MONEY BACK, EVEN THOUGH THIS COMPANY AND OWNER FILED BANKRUPTCY. WE SHOULD BE PROTECTED BETTER BY ATTORNIES AND THE ATTORNEY GENERAL OF PENNSYLVANIA DON'T HAVE ANY UPDATED INFORMATION ABOUT WHAT'S GOING ON WITH THE LAWSUIT EITHER. WE HAVE NO ONE TO TURN TO FIND OUT WHEN WE CAN GET OUR MONEY BACK. I HAVE FILED A COMPLAINT WITH ALL OF THE APPROPRIATE PLACES LIKE THE BBB, ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE AND THE BANKRUPTCY COURT OF PA. WE ALL WERE ROBBED OF OUR MONEY AND WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO GET OUR MONEY BACK.
I AM STILL EMOTIONALLY UPSET OVER THIS PROBLEM AND HOPE THAT ME AND OTHERS WILL BE ABLE TO GET OUR MONEY BACK. I WANT MY DAMN MONEY BACK SOON.
I TOOK ALL MY TAX MONEY TO PURCHASE A COMPUTER FROM THEM AND THEY NEVER SENT COMPUTER, BUT WAS QUICK TO CASH MY CHECK. THIS COMPANY KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING AND THE GOVERNMENT AND THE STATE OF PENNSYLVANIA STOOD BY AND LET THEM DO IT TO US.
IT IS UNETHICAL THE WAY I HAVE BEEN LEFT OUT NOT KNOWING WHEN I WILL EVER GET MY MONEY BACK FROM A OWNER WHO THE ATTORNEY GENERAL KNOW AND COURT SYSTEM KNOW AND DON'T PUSH THE MATTER QUICKER FOR ME AND OTHERS TO GET OUR MONEY BACK. I AM SICK OF WAITING BECAUSE IT HAS BEEN TOO LONG.
I WANT MY MONEY BACK NOW BECAUSE I REALLY DO NEED IT NOW SINCE I'M NOT WORKING YET. I'M VERY EMOTIONALLY STRESSED OVER THIS FOR 2 YEARS. THE GOVERNMENT/LAW SHOULD DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS AND QUIT LETTING THESE SCAM BUSINESSES RUN THESE COMPANIES AND STEALING PEOPLE'S MONEY

"FEB 2001

I GOT SUCKERED INTO BUYING A COMPUTER FROM VCS. I HAVE BEEN WATCHING THE INFOMERCIALS FOR ABOUT 2 MONTHS BEFORE I DECIDED TO BUY THERE SYSTEM. THEN LIKE A DUMB ASS I SENT THEM A CHECK AND THEY TOLD ME IT WOUL TAKE ABOUT 4-6 WEEKS FOR THEM TO SHIP MY COMPUTER. ABOUT 4 WEEKS LATER I CALLED THEM TO FIND OUT ABOUT MY SYSTEM AND THEY SAID IT WAS IN THE PROCESS OF BEING BUILT. 2 WEEKS LATER I CALLED AGAIN AND I GOT THE RUN AROUND. 2 WEEKS LATER I CALLED AGAIN. ALL DAY I GOT A BUSY SIGNAL. SO WHEN I GOT HOME SOMETHING TOLD ME TO LOOK ON THE INTERNET AT THEIR WEB SITE SO I DID AND THERE WAS A BIG MESSAGE SAYING "VCS HAS FILED BANKRUPTCY". SO I STARTED CALLING THE NUMBERS THEY HAD LISTED AND ALL THEY DID WAS TELL ME TO FILL OUT A CLAIM FORM. THEN I CALLED WHAT EVER LAWYER IT SAID TO CALL AND ALL HE SAID WAS THAT MAN THAT OWNED VDC RIPPED OFF ALOT OF PEOPLE AND IT WOULD BE A LONG TIME BEFORE IF ANY CUSTOMERS GOT A REFUND.

YOU WOULD THINK SOME LAWYER OR SOMEONE WOULD TRY TO KEEP THE CONSUMERS INFORMED ABOUT THE CASE.

2 YEARS LATER AND I HAVE RECIEVED NOTHING. I LOST OVER $2,OOO.00 AND I AM MAD AS HELL. IT IS HARD TO TRUST BUYING OVER THE INTERNET BECAUSE OF THIS.

DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW I CAN GET MY MONEY BACK.

I GUESS IT WAS JUST A VERY EXPENSIVE LESSON. I SHOULD HAVE REALIZED THE DEAL WAS "TO GOOD TO BE TRUE."

"I bought a computer from As seen on TV PC (which a lot of people seem to be saying is the same thing as the VC store. Is this true? If so, what should I do to get a refund? Is there ANY chance that I could get a new computer that actually works from them? My computer worked really well for a long time and now it won't even boot up. WHAT SHOULD I DO? Should I send it back to them and see if they can fix it? It would be very expensive to do that and I am afraid that they will charge me even more."

"I am looking for some help, I purchased the 3 year full in-home warranty with the computer system that I bought through VSC. Is there still a way to get in home service through their new identity As Seen On Tv PC or is it possible to go directly to BancTec for warranty service. Also, I am plan to call the attorney general to see if they can help me at all, but I would like to know if any one has had any recent experience. I would apreciate all replies. My purchase actually took place on Sept. 29, 1999."
