"Hello,
I recently posted my car for sale. Then I got a text message from someone pretending to be interested in buying my car, but demanding that I buy your report and send it to him before he came to purchase the car. He texted me several times with the demand to buy the report
I think that it's revolting how you conduct your business.
"
"Total scam. Paid for report. Report did not have information it was supposed to have. Now refusing to issue refund."
"Worst than that. I just don't get the report they were promising that was supposedly 1 single charge for 5 reports, they got to charge me monthly charges from SHAYLAS VIN SERVICE and VEHICLEREPORTSYSTEMS.COM. So it seems this page will take the card and put it in an scam system to it can be recurrent charges.
Yes, I should have make a review for weird pages offering you things where is involved to disclosure a credit card! I thought I learned that lesson before... it seems not. I will this time."
"Ran a check on my vehicle to try to update the Carfax report I had obtained when I bought it. The Vincheckpro report contained almost zero information. It had none of the title transfer information that Carfax had. They can't claim it wasn't reported when Carfax had the info a year ago. Also prior to payment it claimed my vehicle had recalls. Report showed nothing. Totally worthless."
"nothing is found!!!!!!!1111"
"VINCheckPro has someone email you pretending to be an interested buyer. The person then tells you they want a vin check on your vehicle and they direct you to go to VINCheckPro to get one. Once you send them the vin check you never hear back from them. It’s a scam. "
"THEY HAVE PEOPLE EMAIL YOU POSING AS A BUYER, but when you look into the email: the word 'I' is in lower case half the time . . . . We, meaning my mechanic and I, etc . . . STAY AWAY "
"Awful to deal with, nothing but run around from their online support. Their VIN pulled up the car but no record attached, asked for credit back (not refund) to do another search."
"After you pay your money you will get an error message, then nothing. No report, no recourse. They are stealing money"
"Decided to get a VIN report since I'm bidding on a couple of cars today. As soon as I clicked on the PAY button, a screen with a message saying "Oops, something happened". Now I cannot access my account, yet they sure could hit my PayPal for the money! I sent two messages, but of course, they are ignored. The auction is over, and I'm $12.95 poorer."
"I bought a package of 5 reports. The very first report, upon which I paid the package showed "Oops", then a report for another car came in. When I tried to look up for another VINs it was always asking to make a payment.
Escalated dispute to PayPal. There is no phone number or chat support (those were the signs I missed) and no email replies. Now I'm wondering how with only the negative reviews on the most sites it's still on the first Google page if looking for VIN report.
Stay away."
"As stated in other reviews here, it's a scam and people selling cars are the mark. I was contacted by someone posing as a buyer through Auto Trader. What's particularly cunning about this one is they actually have a full grasp of the English language although they work in the middle of the night. They seem interested and ask questions. After some back and forth they state they would like to come see the car with their mechanic, are ready to buy with cash in hand, and ask for a vehicle report suggesting you purchase through vincheckpro. Then they disappear. How sad is it a business has to rely on such measures to trick people into using their service. Luckily I didn't fall for it. I already had a report through a legit service. And I smelled fish. So I submitted my legit report as a test. Sure enough, never heard back. Key tip offs are no phone number given, responses arrive in the middle of the night, they refer to the car as "vehicle" and never use the actual make or model, and finally they ask for a report from vincheckpro. Ridiculous! There seems to be no end to the lengths scum go to swindle people. "
"I spent 8 dollars to get the carfax report. Complete false information and absolute waste of money.
I am searching for a place where I can give my review comment."
"scam scam scam scam scam scam"
"Read the fine print! Their reports don't give you any useful information! Don't waste your money! Invest a little more and get a real report! Buying a car is too important of a purchase. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
