When I received my last shipment, I immediately noticed that I did not receive the name brand protein powder I ordered, but a generic powder not even listed on the Vitaglo website. "I placed an order for 24 15 oz cans of Joyva Tahini for a total of $55.92 with free shipping on May 23 2008, payed by major credit card. After 2 weeks the order had still not arrived so I sent an email inquiring about the order. No answer after 3 days so I called. The fellow who answered the phone said they hadn't shipped it because shipping was too expensive! Right on the front page of their web site it says "Free shipping on orders of over $50." "Vitaglo is not operating according to standard business principals...... This Jack-and-Jill operation has possibly never heard of those.
Vitaglo has managed to satisfy some customers, which is an ABSOLUTE miracle. The other 30 percent of customers are dropped off the radar into Never-Never Land.
The test of a company is not whether they've ever made a single mistake, but how soon they seek to acknowledge and satisfactorily resolve their mistakes. This company doesn't seek to resolve issues - they just blow off the customers, and often with great rudeness.
In a nutshell, you will receive your order if you happen to order exactly what they have in stock. But how will you know what's in stock?
Customers seem to hit a brick wall on that one.
It is difficult, if not, impossible to get info. from Vitago.
The company apparently displays items on their website that they do not carry. These items are not available, nor are they back-ordered. Nor will they ever be back-ordered. This is merely my impression of how things go down.....
It is further speculation that Vitaglo most likely cannot order the unavailable items because the manufacturers WILL NOT do business with them. They have alienated the very people they need to purchase from. Draw your own conclusion. Most likely they have not paid those manufacturers - have had payments bounce, maybe.... just a hunch.
They've got some problems that need looking into....
The third weekend in March I placed my first (and only) order. On Monday, March 17th my order was entered in the Vitaglo system, and my credit card was charged that same day for the full amount. It is now over four weeks since that time, and I do not have the items ordered, nor any interest paid for the four weeks' use of my money.
Nor do I have any hope of receiving what I ordered. They are "out" of the items.
In spite of them having both my email address and phone number, they failed to communicate this. Instead, the burden was put on me to follow up. At the ten-day mark I phoned in. And again at the twenty-day mark..... They gave no indication whatsoever that my order would be shipped.....not soon, not ever. Could it be because they have NO intention of shipping???
This situation is best left up to the Attorney General of New York's office. Among the Yahoo Shopping reviews and others, there is too much of a pattern of taking people's money and not delivering the products. From the AG's office: "Patterns of complaints involving the same company or a new issue often help us in allocating our law enforcement resources."
It seems to boil down to "false advertising" and "wire fraud."
