"I received only 1 of 3 items initially ordered. Credit card was charged & item not shipped. No response to phone calls now 2 mos after order. I have to dispute the charge on credit card. I agree with other reviewers - do business elsewhere! Worst merchant I've dealt with by far."

"From personal experience - avoid this outfit like the plague! I have been extremely patient with them since early October, trying to get a refund for merchandise that was on back order, never came in. Very hard to reach them by telephone, never return calls and never reply to emails. If you get lucky and get someone to finally answer the telephone, they use the old excuse that "the check is in the mail" just to put you off a little longer!

No more more Mr. Nice Guy and no more patience! I just contacted my credit card company and within the next 24 hrs., I am submitting a dispute for the refund back o my c.c. acct. Quite frankly, from my past conversations with them and their comments, it leads one to believe that they are seriously in some sort of financial trouble, wouldn't be surprised if they go out of business soon. I'm going back to www.2filter.com for my future filter purchases.

"I ordered a camera lense and was charged for it early July and I have yet to receive it. No one from West Coast Cameras has returned my calls nor has responded to my emails. I finally got someone on the phone on August 31. The lady who answered the phone from her home said that they had had problems with shipments, etc. but that the lense would arrive the next Friday, September 4. It is today September 25, nothing has arrived and no one is answering my calls nor responding to the (nice) messages I have left. "

"Turns out it was Westcoast Cameras fault not visa. The order was never shipped yet my Cr card was charged back on Aug 10th still waiting for a refund had to go through VISA FRAUD AND SECURITY>
WESTCOAST CAMERAS ARE CROOKS. They have been reported to BBB and Leica head office. They refuse to help in the issue of a refund hopefully visa can correct this problem becuase WC has no intention of doing so.

"I placed an order for 2 lenses on July 17,2009. On July 23, I contacted them via their web form to find out a status on my order. I called several times and got a message but no one ever answered the phone. This morning I called spoke to "rich" and was told my order shipped a few days ago. When I asked for a tracking number he hung up on me. Seems I caught him in a lie. Dont waste your time with this business their customer care and follow up stink. "

"I purchased a filter on June 22nd at the Westcoastcameras online store. I received a order confirmation update on June 23rd with Westcoastcamreas claiming they have shipped my item by FedEx International Priority. In the update, I was informed that my item will arrive by June 30th the latest, but I still have not received anything as of date. I've contacted them via E-mail with no response at all; and I also tried to call them with no one answering. In fact , their answer machine is full so I can't leave a message. This is by far the most irresponsible and unreliable vender I've experienced. I strongly recommend other customers to be very careful when shopping at Westcoastcameras."

"I placed an order on March 11, 2009. In the comments section I asked for my order to arrive by Wed. March 15, 2009 and to please call to confirm. I have heard nothing from this store. I have tried calling and e-mailing, no reply as of this post. Nobody answers the phone it goes straight to voice mail and there is a message that states if you want to page this person to enter your phone number just as a cell phone voice mail message does, which I really do not have a problem with as long as they would have followed through with my order and shipped it to arrive as I requested for a trip I am leaving for on Thursday or at the very least inform me that they cannot meet my deadline. Unless, something majorly changes by the time I leave on Thursday I will definitely never place an order with this business again as they are not dependable when you are in a time crunch.

"I ordered a Käsemann circular polarizing filter from West Coast Camera. After a few days, when the order status did not indicate that it had shipped, I sent an email inquiry. There had been a mistake somewhere along the line. West Coast immediately investigated, apologized profusely and arranged for the filter to be expedited to me. Their attitude of attention and sincerity was truly impressive – far better than I have come to expect.

The filter arrived shortly and all was as expected, including the price, which was the lowest I could find.

I recommend WCC as a source. The next time I need something that is in their catalog , I will go to them first.
