"Extremely poor service. Order accepted on-line and I get a follow up phone call the following day to obtain my credit card security code and confirm shipping address. Told that the order will ship in one to two weeks. (Online order stated that it was in stock!) A week later I get an email that the item is out of stock and may be available in another 5 to 6 weeks."
"*** BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY *****
I ordered a camcorder from this company because of it's low price. I needed this by Saturday so I paid for 3 day shipping, however I received an e-mail saying that they needed me to contact the verification department. when I called I was transfered to 4 different people who kept asking for the confirmation number, 20 minutes later a 5th person finally picked up and was about to transfer me to a 6th one when I just plain asked what the problem was with my order, he continued to say there was nothing wrong with it and that I would get it in 7-10 business days.. however I told him I paid for 3 day shipping and he continued to say that he could NOT guarentee it even if it was paid for. I then told him to cancel the order and so he said he would. I asked for a cancellation number and he said it was the same as my confirmation number. I then went to BESTBUY and got the camcorder I wanted for $50.00 more which I should have done in the first place to avoid this whole mess.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY "
"WOW!!! RED FLAG! RED FLAG! This company scared the heck out of me with unprofessional customer service. I placed an order for a Canon A640 due to the excellent rating on the price search engine I used as well as the dirt cheap price. I called the number on their website to make sure that the camera I ordered was in stock and was to come with ALL normal accessories (i.e. cables, manuals, etc). I was told that was correct by a fiercely short "customer service" rep. Against better judgment, I ordered it and, of course, got the email and the phone call needing to "verify" the order. This took two phone calls, approx. twenty mins., and five people that all asked to verify my order number then put me on hold. Hold times were excessive, to say the least. I used this time to find an online review of wisetronics.com. After the second or third person telling me that they were in the 'verification dept.' and that the call had just been transfered to them, I canceled the order and asked for an email regarding such. The final person was as rude as ever and demanded to know why I wanted to cancel it. I told her that I did not need the item and hung up. I SUGGEST YOU DO THE SAME. These reviews scream caution! Read between the lines and stay away from WISETRONICS.COM!!!"
"I had the same terrible experience as others have. I phoned them to verify that the item was in stock, brand new and USA version. After placing my order I received an email asking for credit card verification. I too was pushed to buy extra-capacity batteries (two for $99.00). When I received my order, I only had one battery which is available from the manufacturer for $49.00 and the camera was a Japanese version. This company does not have any honor, ethics, or integrity to speak of. Avoid them at ALL costs!"
"This is the email that was sent in disgust to WiseTronics this evening. They should be run out of New York and off the Internet for their bait & switch practices.
+++++++++++++++++++++++
I wanted this camera shipped as soon as possible after I ordered it. Someone called today to get the "three digits" on the back of my credit card, and tried to sell me an over-priced battery.
Nothing was mentioned that this camera was out-of-stock, but now I see that it's back ordered, and you say that it's in the final process of shipping and the order can't be canceled. That doesn't make any sense to any reasonable-thinking person.
I ordered this camera because of your 5-star rating. I've since read that your outfit is a bunch crooks and EVERYTHING is back-ordered unless one buys your extra, high-priced accessories.
If the camera is shipped and verified to me by tomorrow I will accept it. If I don't hear anything by tomorrow, consider that this order has ben canceled by me, and it won't be accepted IF it's ever delivered.
Surely there is a law against the way that you people do business. I've never seen the likes of you in any of my online transactions.

"This company was listed as good by the search engine I found them through. I called Wisetronics, was told the camera was In Stock, Before I Ordered that day. A week later, I got a call from a guy who wanted to verify my credit card, then he tried to get me to add some accessories to my order for a Canon PowerShot S3 IS digital camera. I declined to add anything - their accessories are high-priced and unnecessary. I was told the camera would be sent out. Four Weeks later, I called Wisetronics, as the site listed my order a backordered. I was told it would be another 3 weeks. Three Weeks later, I called again and was told it would not be available until the end of April. I asked to be connected with a Manager - and was disconnected. I called back and asked again to be connected with a Manager - and was disconnected again. Reaching a salesman takes less than 5 minutes; reahing Customer service takes on average 20-30 minutes. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!"
"I had the same exact experience as everyone else that ordered from this company. Super low price, then sales pitch about "something" additional you need to order (in my case a digital camera battery regular price $150, now on sale for $100. I opted out and next day I received an email that the camera was backordered. I placed another order 2 days later because the camera was now $20 less. I talked with David and said the item was in stock for that low price. Again the pitch for the battery, I opted out again and the order was NEVER placed!!!
One word of caution, Wisetronics is affiliated with Broadway Photo and Video. On several occasions when I clicked on Wisetronics website, Broadways website popped up but the item was at a higher price. If you ever dealt with them, you know who you are dealing with. That culture has a different way of doing business
and that's mainly to screw you out of your money.
IF THE PRICE IS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, THEN IT'S A SCAM!

"oredered a canon powershot 710 on 3-30-07 EVEN after I'd read the awful reviews on this site about this company because it was such a great price. I included a note on my order that stated that I'd read many bad reviews about the company about how they would email the customer back in order to confirm the order, only to have some high pressure sales tactics. Then I stated to please not do this - I want nothing but the camera. Of course, they did it anyway. So I called on the following Monday (4-2), as requested, and was given a message that the office would be closed until Thursday (4-5). Called on Thursday morning, and was told that the order had been cancelled because they were out of stock. I sure would have liked to have been sent an email on 3-30 when I ordered the camera. Better yet, how about an 'out of stock' note under the item on the website. Now almost a week has gone by, my husband's birthday is on Monday, and I have no camera. What an unproffessional company. "This is my worst nightmare.
I usually do review any site I buy from, but somehow I did not do this time. Their low price (lower than others with more than $60). I ordered Sony DSC-T100 digital camera on March 23, and received an email confirming my order.
Next day I sent them email requesting the time of shipping since I am going in my vacation on 30th of March and I told that and I requested with my order Expedited shipping (3-5 days). No response. So I called their phone number and waited 1 hour, and got sick with no response.
I sent 2nd email asking to cancel my order if it is not going to arrive before March 30th.
I called my bank and checked on my card charges, and the bank said: no charges yet on your account.
So I sent another email requesting to cancel my order and not to charge my credit card, since I am not interested in buying from them.
Minutes later, I logged into my account with B & H, and ordered the same camera with 2nd day shipping (using another credit card).
I should have done that before, since my experience with B&H is good.
My bank said that he can not block charges if it comes, but can dispute it whenever it shows.
Now I only have to call back to Wisetronics many times to try to stop them from charging my card and watch my card transactions very carefully.
What a nightmare
Update:
I tried to call Wisetronics on Sunday all day, but ten minutes before closing (6:00 pm EST), I received an email saying that I should call the store to verify information. It was already late, so I called on Mon (26 of March, 2007), and dialed ex. 203 and no answer, left a message. Dialed again and tried ex. 202, finally someone answered.
I told him that I wanted to cancel my order for the last 3 days and sent 4 emails, called many times and no one responded to my inquiries. As stated here by many other victims, the person who answer the phone does not say his name or saying an nice words.
He said he will check my order status and put me on hold for few min came back saying the order was canceled.
What a relief."
"VERY DISSATISFIED...ordered a digital Canon A640 camera on March 3rd. A few days later we received an email that we were required to call extension 203 to confirm our order. The representative was very rude and ask why I did not even order a battery with the camera. He ask for my address and 3 digit security code on the back of my credit card. He then stated the camera would be sent out in 2 to 3 weeks (on the confirmation email it stated 7-12 days). I said fine. On March 19th I called as we had not received the camera. The lady who answered the phone was extremely rude and stated the camera was on backorder until the end of April. I called and left a voice mail on the evening of 3/19/07 to cancel the order and please call to comfirm the cancellation or to email with confirmation. I still have not heard back from them. Wisetronics use bargain price cameras to sell you additional products. It is my strong opinion THEY NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN."
"I ordered a Canon S3 IS camera. 2 days later I get an email saying I need to phone in. They pushed to sell me lenses. They requested my 3-digit security code. They said it would be 2-3 weeks (ad said 7-12 days). I called my credit card company and they said that they should not have requested my 3-digit security code and strongly reommended that I cancel my card and the order. I called back and they did not pick up my "hold" line in 20 minutes. I cancelled via email."
"I ordered a Sony DSC-N2 and was subjected to the high pressure sales tactics. 5 minutes after placing the order on the telephone I called to cancel Sunday Mar.4, 2007, I was told by the sales person on Saturday and Sundays they could only take orders not cancel or change orders. The sale person instructed me to call customer service on Monday. I contacted customer service at 11:00 AM when they open. Customer service informed me that they could not cancel or change my order because it was on the loading dock waiting for UPS pickup. Jennifer - customer service representative at Wisetronics, was supposed to record my cancellation request at 11:05 AM Mar 05, 2007 for the record. I doubt that will occur. Wisetronic transfer the billing information to UPS for pickup at 6:36 PM on Mar 05, 2007, that was 7 hours and 31 minutes after I called to cancel the order. My order consisted of DSC-N2, two upgraded extended batteries, a warranty good at Best Buy, Circuit City, and any other certified Sony Repair facility. When I received the order I received an open box Sony DSC-N2 camera. Sony’s factory sealing tape was unsealed and there was more dirt on the unsealed portion of the tape than in my vegetable garden. This is a sign of selling returned items as new factory sealed boxes. As for the two extended life batteries, Wisetronics charged me $99.00 for the original Sony battery that came with the camera and another spare $49.00 original battery. As for the extended warranty $199.99, no one will honor the card in Parkersburg, WV except a lawn mower repair facility. I will be disputing this with my credit card company. I then will report this company to the Federal Trade Commission and the Better Business Bureau of New York. If you have been taken advantage of by this company please take the time to report it to the proper agencies, without it nothing will ever be done. If enough people take the time to report this company they might just get investigated. The FTC website is www.ftc.gov and the better business bureau is www.newyork.bbb.org
Wisetronic – Buyers beware we will treat you like you should be treated. There goal appears to be - take the customer all they are worth within the limits of criminal law and if need be go beyond.

"Offered a low price. I did not wish to add anything. Reply - out of stock. Will ship in two weeks.
Wrote them e-mail askng when I might expect delivery. The e-mail was ignored. They have my credit card info.
Still waiting after another month 3/16/07 for a reply to inquiry.
Seems like a waist of time vendor"
"I got very excited when i saw their price for CANON ZR-850. it's 100$ cheaper compared to the cheapest well-known online retailer.
i placed an order directly. after that i somehow thought about researching the review of the company(HUGE MISTAKE!). I was both surprised and worried about my order after reading the reviews.
the email finally arrived asking me to "confirm" the order, and as all the reviews have suggested, the merchant claimed the items to be out of stock.
Customer service was very rude, and not professional. i was actually relieved to know that the item was out of stock.
this is not a scam this is a unsuccessful attempt of robbery with low pricing as the bait."
