"We ordered two cam coder on line and I have called on ***-***-**** to confirm. The person the phone so rude I can't believe. He told me I am black listed. I have tried to ask him for what, he rudely insulted me and refuse to give me reason. I strongly advise not to buy any thing from them.

"I ordered a PANASONIC DMC-FZ50 DIGITAL CAMERA. Vendor had me call to 'confirm' my order, then started the hard sell for accessories. One of which was the charger cable! The charger cable was included with the camera at every other reputable website. I canceled the order and ended the call."
"Required me to call to verify order. Put on hold for over 30 minutes. Tried to sell me things I did not want. Provided false information regarding Nikon's warranty in order to try to sell me another warranty. I refused to buy any of the things or change my order. I then received a email that the lense was on backorder for 6 to 8 weeks email. There must be some way to put deceptive companies like this out of business or at least stop Google from allowing them to advertise on their site."
"Worst online purchasing experience I have ever had. 4 days after I made the order I sat on hold for over 30 minutes in response to their message to call back and "verify" my order. Called back again and when I asked if I could get verification that the order would be shipped that day, they told me to call back at the end of the work day. Ended up cancelling my order. Don't waste your time with them."
"I wish I had seen this site before ordering my lens.
My experience parallels that of other posters. Low price, phone back required, strong upsell attempt and then indefinite backorder. I guess I'll let AMEX deal with them unless they can provide a tracking number during my next call.
I phoned them back the next day and asked to cancel the order which they said they did"
"AVOID WISETRONICS ENTIRELY!!
This company is a fraud and should not be supported by anyone who wishes to actually receive what they purchase.
2.6.07
I called 1.***-***-****, and was told that the item (Panasonic DMC-FZ50) was in stock and that if an order was placed immediately it would be shipped before 2pm that day.
I placed an order online later that day.
2.7.07
I received an email informing me that "In order to further verify your order number...we will need to speak with you on the phone. Please call our Verification department at 1-***-***-**** (x. 203 or x. 202) so we may verify and complete processing your order."
They were contacted, and under the pretense of only needing additional charge card information, the rep. proceeded to push "needed" items using lies and condescension. For example, I was told the factory battery only lasted 15 min. and would need to purchase an additional one; that they offered me at a cost considerably over that which it would cost me at any reputable walk-in business. The demeanor of the employee (‘Steve’ @ ext. 203), and all subsequent ones I have dealt with, was and has been highly unprofessional and shifty when pushed for details and explanations.
2.19.07
Upon not receiving my order I attempted to contact Wisetronics again.
I was welcomed with their recorded msg. and following the prompt to press 5 for “Check order Status” the recording said that they were closed.
I tried again, this time following the prompt to press 1 for “Purchasing new digital cameras…”, and this time they were open. Convenient.
I was told that, despite the online site and live customer reps statement originally that the camera was in stock, that now (already after 13 days from original date of order) they would not have it in stock for 2-3 weeks. I decided to wait.
3.2.07
After still not receiving my order I called again. I went to prompt 1, “Purchase new…” and eventually was connected to a live operator. I asked if the item was in stock and was informed that indeed it was.
I then asked to be transferred to check the status of my order.
I was informed by a new operator that the item was still not in stock and would now be unavailable until the end of March. Ridiculous.
I of course cancelled my order.
Throughout all of this, I experienced other similar situations as expressed in numerous other reviews of Wisetronics, as contained on ResellerRatings and other sites.
Again, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME, AVOID WISETRONICS ENTIRELY!!

"Purchased a camera through Wisetronics.com and called the order verification number where the "tech" was downright rude because I declined his offer of a set of filters for an additional $200. He said if I didn't buy them I would scratch the lens and then need another new camera. I found out today (because I called them to find out where my camera was) that it is on backorder. Two weeks ago I was told it was in stock. I have cancelled my order.
LET THE BUYER BEWARE."
"I ordered a Nikon D80 from these people only to be subjected to the high pressure sales tactics. I asked them to just cancel the order and they refused, they told me they had shipped the order in the time I was on the phone with them. I refused the shipment and they still tried to bill me for restocking fees (based on extra items I had not even purchased as well as the shipping charges that were billed at more than twice the amount shown on the original online receipt for the camera). I disputed with my credit card company and Wisetronics submitted invoices I had never seen as well as other information that was not as correct. I reported this company to the Federal Trade Commission and the Better Business Bureau of New York. If you have been taken advantage of by this company please take the time to report it to the proper agencies, without it nothing will ever be done. If enough people take the time to report this company they might just get investigated. The FTC website is www.ftc.gov and the better business burea is www.newyork.bbb.org"
"BIG MISTAKE...fOUND Wisetronics online. Called them to order Canon PowerShot S3-S1 for $239. By the time I hung up I had $600 charged to my VISA. Camera bag (free), Memory Card...getting a deal for $99; 3 lense filters; mini tripod (free) and a 5 year maintence agree for $99; and batteries. I cannot figure out how with all the free stuff I supposedly got and all the discounts, how I ended up with a $600 charge. The camera didn't work...FedEx'd it back... received new camera that does work. When I called customer service they would not talk to me til I called Canon...Canon said "if you push the off button and the camera won't turn off, then it needs to be replaced...and the Canon customer service rep told me he would not deal with that store again if he were me....I wish I had found this site first...I can't believe they are still in business. They can be reported online to the Federal Trade Commission and also to the NY Attorney General. I have never experienced such high pressure...I cannot believe that I did not just hand up the phone but I did not...big price to pay for being a bargain hunter...however, I have not had this kind of experience online before and the ratings I had seen for this store were good (I obviously looked at the wrong place). I will be paying on this camera for 6 monts...what an IDIOT. Hopefully, this will help someone else not to make the same stupid mistake I made. "
"I am extremely upset with the Sales and "Customer Service" departments. I ordered and received a Sony Cyber-shot camera which is fine, but the Five Hour battery is really only a Two hour battery. The 1 GB Memory Stick is supposed to be 80 MB/sec and Guarenteed Error Free. There is nothing in the memory information that even discusses Error free. I've called and emailed them at least eight times and still I have no RMA# and no resolution. "
"These people are the worst! I ordered a Canon G7 on November 26, 2006. It has been back ordered since then.
No explanation, no apologies...nothing.
My recommendation - Run. Run. Run.

"Prices are artificially low on the website and they offer products that are out of stock. The availability is obscured and all products say "usually ships within 1-2 days" while in my case the backorder was 4-6 weeks. Furthermore the customer service on the phone was pretty lousy."
"I ordered a Canon PowerShot SD800 IS through Wisetronics website for it was cheaper than the price of other vendors. Mistake! Soon after I placed the order they called me, ostensibly for more credit card information; and foolishly I let them talk me into purchasing other items for the camera. After hanging up, I realized how foolish I had been. I tried to change the order on the website, but thought there is a button for this the order cannot be changed. I called Wisetronics and was told that though the website has a place for changing orders it is nevertheless impossible to do that. And it cannot be changed on the phone. In order to return any item one must obtain permission, pay the return postage, and suffer a 20% "restocking" fee. I did receive the camera, and it is fine. But the accompanying items are horribly overpriced. I would have done better to have gone to a reputable store. If you shop here, you are making a very poor decision. This is not a reputable dealer, in my opinion."
"Like many of the comments already - Bait & Switch - and hard sell. They show artificially low prices to get you to order. They send an email asking you to call and confirm the order; when they have you on the phone they push hard to add to the order or upgrade you to something more expensive; if you hold your ground the product will be forever on back order. Meanwhile on their site the product still shows in stock and ready to ship. You eventually give up and go away which is what they want. They need to be reported to the Federal Trade Commission and other internet fraud sites."
"Wisetronics (AllStar Camera) is undoubtably the worst Web Store, It's really just a scam run by con-men. I ordered a supposedly "new" Sony DSC T10 digital camera from these shysters to be given as a Christmas gift. Unfortuntely I fell for the high pressure salespitch to add an "Extended Long Life" battery & a 1GB High Speed Memory Stick Pro Duo. After I thought about this overnight, I called the next day (less than 24 hrs.) to cancel the order. I was told that the order was all ready "in process" so it couldn't be canceled. The only reason it eas in process was because my credit card had been charged immediately. It took almost 2 weeks to get an order number & then 2-3 weeks more to finally receive the items. I called everyday during that time & got all kinds of excuses & was hung on repeatly plus being kept on hold for up to 20 minutes & disconnected at times. They finally just started picking up & immediately hanging up when their caller id identified me. Then I started using different phones to call. I was told that I could only deal with "Michael" since he took the original order. Every supposedly different person (by the names I was given) all sounded like "Michael". Now that the battery I ordered extra isn't recongized by the camera they won't replace it because was part of a package & anyway their return policy states within 7 days. These items were all advertised as "new" Sony products. The battery is an after market item that I am still looking for a seller. The memory was Sony - The camera I suspect has been remanufactured , but I Sony won't verify if it is new or remanufactured. What a crock. I'm sure this is all too familiar to many other PLAINTIFFS out there so I won't flog a dead horse. The lengthy wait was prpbably due to Wisetronics bidding/buying these items online. Wisetronics' actual address (you won't find it published anywhere) is: Wisetronics, 2845 86th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11223. The actual phone # is ***-***-****. The "owner???" is Shlomi Albaydadi & there are at least 3 in Brooklyn. I found all this on the NY City BBB website. I also filed a complaint with them to just get it on the record. At last count there are 21 complaints there. My next step is a complaint through the NY Attorney General office, you can download the form from their website. If everyone files a complaint maybe we can shut this guy down or better yet send him to jail."
