"NEVER EVER BUY FROM THESE @$$___.I really feel bad that i also ended up being one among the reviewers. I wish I checked the rating before I ordered from this website.
Same story. I ordered a camcoder, received an email to confirm my order. Initially warm greeting by the customer rep. Then i have been told to buy additional battery and memory card. When i declined that, i have been told that they can't sell it to me and buy from somewhere else. He told me he is cancelling my order. But i didn't receive any email confirming that. When i called back to confirm my cancellation, i have been told that i will be charged a 7% restocking fee. I had to argue with those AH for somemore time to finally have them cancel my order. I am going to see where i can file a complaint against them.
PLEASE DON'T END UP BEING THE NEXT REVIEWER.
NEVER DO THE MISTAKE OF BUYING FROM THEM

"I called wisetronics and confirmed the online price, confirmed that the camera was in stock, and confirmed that it had a us warranty. After the salesperson failed to up sell me on several hundred dollars of accessories, I was then transferred to another salesperson who told me that the camera was back-ordered for 6 to eight weeks. Of course this was not true since I had already confirmed that the camera was in stock.

When I told him that I was going to report the to the better business bureau (BBB), the wisetronics sales person told me to tell Tom Thompson hello, so they obviously have had to deal with the BBB in the past.

This companies advertised prices are a scam!

"I have had the same experience as the others, called to confirm order and was pressured to buy additional accesories at inflated prices, then told it would take 3-4 wks. before the camera would be delivered, after I declined additional purchases. I have requested a refund."

"Watch out! I purchased a panasonic pv-gs300 camcorder from wisetronics.com and apparently had the same experience as many others. They call you to "verify" information and try to sell you more. I was told it didn't come with a battery, and he insistantly tried to sell me one. I was also told it didn't come with a warranty. After checking several other sites, the standard kit from Panasonic DOES come with a battery and warranty. I was then told that I would get the item in 6-8 weeks!! When I said that the shipping said 7-12 days, I was told that's from when they ship it out and that would take 6-8 weeks. I told them to cancel the order and I will be sure to make sure they did, as this company cannot be trusted."

"Like everyone.. this is the worst of the seller.
Never ever go to this seller.

I placed order on 30th of Dec and no progress
for atleast 4 days, and when I call them on jan 2nd I was told the product is out of stock, if that is the case, I really do not know why they are allowing it to order say it will be shipped in 1 - 2 days??? and the guy on phone cancelled the order, I didnt even get any confirmation that the order is cancelled, I found out the next time when i went to my accounts, the order is vanished.

"Like everyone else here I had the worst time of all my online shopping with these people.
I ordered a camera for my daughter for Christmas and had to call to verify the order, all it really is a bait and switch scam.
They tried to sell me on Sat. before Christmas a overpriced memory and battery with charger, I refused and he pushed to say if I buy it he will make sure I get it before the 25th, I refused again and told him all I want is the camera and asked him if I'll receive it in time and he said I should.
Well Wednesday the 20th I still didn't receive a tracking number so I called and now they say it's backordered and it will be 2 weeks before they receive any. So today I call to cancel the order and so I can get one from a reputable seller and they said cancelled the order due to the fact it is unavailable.....yet I called them later acting like a new customer to inquire about that model camera and they said they have them in stock!!!
I was so mad I just hung up and came here to save someone some grief and don't to let you know not to deal with these crooks.
So thanks for ruining my daughter's Christmas

"I suggest everyone who has a bad experience go online to their state Attorney General Site and file a consumer complaint on these companies. It is investigated and is made public record.

I recently purchased a Panasonic Pv-gs300 from Wisetronics.com.

I purchased it in accordance with the website, by Mon the 18th so that it would be shipped and arrive for Christmas (Star banner ad that stated: "Purchase by Dec 18th to receive by Christmas")

12/20 I received a phone call from a sales person representing Wisetronics.com (extension 201), who informed me that he attempted to contact me Monday and Tuesday and left messages on my machine. As a result he informed me that I would not receive the camera by Christmas, unless I “purchased a 6 hr battery and had the shipping expedited.” I checked my caller ID and voicemail and answering machine and there were no attempted calls from any number associated with Wisetronics, all the numbers that contacted us during those two days were recognized and none were blocked or hidden.

I also was informed by the same sales rep. that the standard battery that ships with this camera is a “15 minute battery” and I should upgrade. When I did not accept the upgrade he indicated that my camera would be shipped with a 15 minute battery and would arrive after Christmas. My order was then moved to "backorder" status, even though when I had purchased it, it was in stock. I contacted Panasonic, and verified that the standard battery to be shipped with this camera is a 2-3 hour battery.

I sent an e-mail Dec 22nd to their email address and did not recieve a response. I also saw their website has a clause indicating I could be charged more than what my online receipt indicated.

I attempted to contact Wisetronics Customer Service one last time. I got through to Jennifer, who answered the phone all three times I called. She was pleasant at first, until I attempted to get her help on clarifying the claims the sales person made. She became evasive and aggressive stating, "that I only had two options, to cancel the order, or wait another two weeks until they got more in and then they would e-mail me and confirm that I still wanted the camera." She also indicated that this was potentially an imported camera which would be the reason for the shortened battery. When I asked her if my order was listed as an import or domestic she couldn't say. I asked her if it was PAL or NTSC format and she couldn't say. The camera is listed as NTSC which would have to be domestic, but she kept interrupting me when I would ask her about why the salesman would have told me that it has the import battery. The call was at about four minutes at this point and she evaded again saying, "Sir I have already spent more time on this call then i should have and my supervisor is giving me 'the eye'." I indicated to her that if I was not able to get sufficient information and understand what specific battery and type of camera I was getting, I was going to file a complaint with the Consumer Protection. A that point she stated, “Then I am cancelling your order.” I asked why. She responded, “because we don’t need people filing complaint on us when we are trying to provide a quality product and service to them.” I told her not to cancel my order, but part of service was to make sure I was getting what I ordered. She restated my two options. Then I asked to be connected to her supervisor so I could explain.

From four minutes until approx 17 minutes I was on hold. A man answered and asked me what he could do. I apologized for this being a "long call" during the holidays, askd clarification on the type of camera I was being sent. He asked me for my order number, then said give me one second - and then hung up on me. My end of the call was still open, and I was not on hold. This was at about 18 minutes.

I called back, Jennifer answered, she put me on hold, another several minutes passed. I hung up and called back. She was very rude and aggressive with me, and restated that I only had two options and said what I listed above. I was shocked. After over 30 minutes of attempting to find out information on my order, I simply said, “Jennifer I don’t understand why this has to be so difficult to clarify information on my order, but it seems like you want me to cancel my order. You win, I will cancel my order, please remove my order from your files. I will be filing a consumer protection complaint in connection with this.” She said, “Fine sir, thank you and have a Happy New Year (as if she was talking to someone else in a robotic but happy tone)” and then promptly hung up. I had no confirmation of the cancellation and my account on their website still shows an order at this time. That call took place between 12:00pm and 12:30pm on 12/29/06.

Do not do business with this company and make sure you read reseller ratings on every company. You will find similar experiences across the board.

"I purchased a canon SD 800 IS digital camera. It was listed at $299.00 on their web site. Before submitting the order, I called to ask questions about the camera. I asked if this was USA model, If it came with all Canon listed accessories, which I enumerated. The answer from the sales person was yes to all my questions. I then proceeded to order it over the internet. I called to confirm my order after receiving and email from Wisetronics. The salesman tried to talk me into buying several items additionally to my order. I again asked if this was a USA model with all Canon accessories. He said it was, and confirmed my price of $299.00. Finally I agreed to add two accessories a battery charger and a high capacity battery for which I was to be charged $75.00. This would make my purchase total to $374.00 plus a handling & shipping charge of 24.80 which I agreed to.
I cheked my invoice on the Internet and saw there was a discrepancy. I was being charged $400.00 for the merchandise and 24.99 for the S&H. I sent an email to Wisetronics on 12/27/06 in the evening, since customer service was closed.
The following day I received my camera, USA Model with all canon standard accessories, but no extra high capacity battery or charger. I called customer service. They said that the $299.00 was for the import model and with a low capacity battery and charger. No where on their web site does it state the camera is an import model. The USA Model includes the high capacity battery & charger, but costs $400.00. This is not what I was told by the several salesman I spoke to before submitting my order. Wisetronics said they would send me an additional battery. I still feel they are advertising falsely and misleading the publlic. In addition their salesman lied and mislead me as well. They also added another 24.99 to my original purchase for insurance. This makes the total cost of S&H&I to $59.79 to ship from Brooklyn, NY to Freehold, NJ.

"STAY AWAY BAD BUSINESS
I ordered the Canon PowerShot G7, 10.0 Megapixel was so much lower than competition. Should have trusted my instincts.

When I called in to verify my order after I recived an e-mail from them, I got the expected push to buy extra stuff Oh ma, I see you forgot to buy a memory card - yada, yada, yada.

I called in today to verify when my order would be shipped, and now the camera is all of a sudden on backorder. Hmmmm - funny - if that were really the case, they should have e-mailed me immediately, or at the very least told me when I initially called in to verify the order. Instead, on my verification call, they told me the ship time would be around 5 days.

Fact is, they didnt sell me anything extra, so they pretended they didnt have the camera in stock. Fraud, plain and simple. If youre behind 6 weeks (allegedly), then you certainly shouldnt be allowed to have your product come up in a search for something you want to buy NOW.

"Ditto to everything bad you read. When I ordered the Canon Powershot S3 at the lowest internet price I was told it was in stock and shipping could be expedited for an additional price to get it here in time for Christmas. Then, two days later I received an email that I needed to call before they could process my order (still no mention of it being backordered). Then, before I could reply to the email, I received a call from a character from Wisetronics who was one of the most rude and obnoxious persons I've ever dealt with on the phone. As others mention, he tried to sell me things I already had. Then 3 times he changed a "rock bottom" lowest price to try and get me to buy a warranty I didn't want, then kept changing and getting the math wrong. Finally, when I insisted he just send me the camera he hung up....still no mention of it being on backorder. When it doesn't show up by today, two days AFTER the guaranteed expedited shipping date, I call. Guess what? It's BACKORDERED now. When I called the customer service number to talk to a salesperson to check on the order they told me it was backordered and I needed to talk to customer service. When I complained they hung up on me! When I called customer service during the hours listed on the web site, they said no one was there and to call back during their regularly scheduled hours! I then spoke to Jennifer in customer service, who assured me what a wonderful company they had. Unfortunately, they must have made a "mistake" in not notifying me that the camera was on backorder the other three times that I talked to them. When I commented on what a bad business practice that was she hung up on me as well. Obviously, they are used to getting a lot of complaints. The world's biggest ripoff!"

"Horrible store. kept asking me if i wanted the package deals, told them no! Then i asked if it was backordered, they told me no, and that i could pay another 50$ on top of the original shipping fee which was around 20 sumthing bucks and also told me it will arrive in 1 week. When i called back to confirm they told me it was backordered unless i buy the package. If I didnt call to confirm then I wouldnt have even known. Canceled my order cause i just didnt want to deal with it. Customer service was nice but the way they do business was horrible, waited 20-25 min before I actually got to speak with any1 tho. Checked my Credit card summary and found out there were two charges made from companies I've never even heard about for 4.95$ When I called the companies to ask where they got my CC info they told me a whole runaround story. Will have to cancel my card now because they sold my information. Same story goes for Photonation. Now I dont know if Wisetronics gave my CC info away or Photonation. Dont ever order from there just to save a couple of bucks. NOT WORTH THE HASSEL. Check your CC summary frequently if you ordered from them, you just might see charges that show up that you never asked for. DONT BOTHER WITH THEM! wish i found this site out sooner!"
