Do not use World Trips

"We had a terrible experience trying to get compensation for a very simple emergency dental claim (app. $250 USD). We waited 6 weeks for their first reply, only to find we had made a small error on a date field (ie, mm-dd instead of dd-mm). This should have been a 10 minute fix to send the new page in, but instead, they insisted we re-submit the entire claim form. We did that and waited an additional 3 months with absolutely no follow-up or contact from World Trips. I had to phone them to find out they had denied the claim because (they said) we did not submit the claim within 24 hours of the acute onset of dental pain. I re-checked our form to find we had indeed indeed sought dental care 'immediately' after the acute onset of pain, ie., the same morning. Our wording was very clear. Their refusal to pay is an astoundingly dishonest interpretation of the facts, and shows an egregious level of disrespect for their clients. We are in an appeal process, which I tried to explain to them was not necessary since their mistake was obvious. Do not use this company! They will exploit any means possible to avoid paying."
