"A few months ago, I purchased a XFX Speedster MERC310 AMD Radeon RX 7900XT Ultra. I discovered my Hotspot on my card was exceeding 100C, hitting up to 110C.
I reached out to your customer support and the guy’s name was Erik.
He was very helpful, the problem I had is very upsetting to me from an IT support perspective. You see I to work in IT and as an IT professional I never would have asked my client to repair a defective product for them self’s while it was still under warranty. He informed me that XFX has no advanced RMA support and as a customer who paid almost $900.00 US dollars, I find that unexpected.
I have had defective hard drives and even motherboards and the vender offered me advanced RMA, sometimes with a $50.00 deposit and sometimes no deposit. The point being I never had to have my system fulling down waiting for a replacement part that was defective. Now that’s not to say he didn’t offer me the option to do an RMA, just that XFX didn’t do advanced RMA’s. I find that very sad.
I first did as he advised and tightened done the 4 screws and that did bring down the temps to between 75-85C, and then decided to get some premium CPU thermal paste and re applied that and now the temps are averaging 72-82C with peaks at 88C for a second or two.
My biggest concern is even thou he said that piercing the warranty sticker won’t void the warranty, I am worried if I need warranty work going forward that someone will decide that because I fallowed the techs advise that my warranty will be voided.
You see as an IT person I also consider myself a customer service rep as well and as such to me giving my clients the best posable service is everything. Therefore, I see things as all IT/customer service professionals should be doing the same.
So, after redoing thermal paste for the 3rd time I reached back out to XFX and they were willing to give me an RMA, but they want me to send the card in first for something that is a known issue, and they claim they have no advanced RMA feature.
So that would put my computer down for god only knows for how long, and from what I have seen online could be a real long time.
And to top it off I get some tech who acts like an **** and says mark@xbez Type:1
This is the end of the road on this question. We answered it and the answer was "No."
XFX customer service is the worst I have ever seen.

"If you engage XFX to follow US Warranty Law with regards to handling a RMA, then you can count on being threatened with your Warranty Claim being CLOSED. XFX violates US Warranty Law by adding extra steps to the process which violates the Law. Also, according to XFX you will not get a new GPU as a replacement, but you will get a used unit instead. I've worked closely with the computer industry and have seen where the industry goes by the 3-Strike rule. A defective unit is sent back to a manufacturer and it is cleaned/examined and used as a warranty replacement return. It is "only removed from service" if that unit has been returned 3-Times. After buying 4 NEW XFX graphics call all bent and damaged, but barely usable then I must consider 'if' these NEW units are actually factory defects? "
"The service speed is laughable. My RX5700-XT is dead after four months, which I don't mind as things broke and I think it's pure bad luck. The problem is my college is near the finals, and I have work to do on my PC with a bricked graphic card. Since I have first contact XFX a week ago, I have received two response with exact same message. four days apart.
So for whom XFX extended their warranty for, it's not an excuse for this down right horrible service. "
"Xfx has terrible customer service, Bought a Xf560 when it arrived and I removed it from the package I noticed part of the Interface was damaged, I Contacted them they finally wrote back after several days, then no response at all , I have called never been able to speak to anyone , written them with no response, needless to say I’ll never do business with them again, Really had them on a higher level them what they deserve, Disappointed ☹️ "
"XFX has always been good to me. I have had 2 RMA experiences with them and while they are slow to respond, they always deliver. My recent card was past the warranty date (about 2 months over) and they still allowed an RMA. They hold true to their 3 year warranties plus a little more. Im sure they have a lot going on, so the slow response time is to be expected. They helped me so i want to help them.
Keep in mind if you're reading the reviews to see if you want to purchase from them. Most people only come here when they have a bad experience. Very rarely will someone take the time for a positive one.
XFX is a solid company with solid GPU's."
"XFX does not really read the problem. He responds politely. He responds politely to find a reason not to grant the guarantee. I do not generalize, but that's my experience, and it was not pleasant."
"i recently got a newer (2019) gpu from this company through a major electronics seller, i have had this said gpu for 3 months and now its overheating, i am no dumby when it comes to building a gaming rig or electronics at all and so i tested everything that could be tested uninstall and reinstall the drivers, cleaning it, changing air flow in my pc case ect... i did everything, so i said f it i am going to have to call them and see what to do next, went to website and then i tried to make a claim ticket like it said and the UNSECURE website for xfx redirected me to a crashed page for the website its self, so i said now i have to actually call them so i did, the dude imitedtly treated me like an idiot and a liar, telling me that what i am experiancing with my card cant happen with their products...Oh yeah BS guy, anyways i explained that i have this overheating problem with no fix in site and i have literly tried everything he says no i havent and that i need to do this and then explained that its my fault or a 3rd partys fault like windows or some crap thats when i said listen dude its overheating and i have a 3 year warranty can you send me a replacment while i send you guys mine so you can fix it i will pay and then ship everything back....he hung up and then every time i tried to get ahold of them after as soon as the dude heard my voice he hung up....4 times. F this company their proiducts are trash plastic and not worth a dime. for the love of god just buy any ANY product just not this crap."
"Dealt with a guy called Mark throughout the process, articulated the card I bought does not do 4k @ 60hz. Asked for a cable thats tested to work (I tested over 8, none worked), cut me off and said that's not on the table at all.
Then I asked ok, ship me a new card, bill me for it, and refund me when I ship it back (advanced replacement), and the guy flat out says: "No, not going to do that, you might steal the card"...
Speechless, I say, do you not have test rigs (they do), so I say, go ship me a cable that you know works, and Ill pay for the damn shipping : "No, not going to do that, you might steal the cable... just buy one off amazon" (completely disregarding the fact that I've bought EIGHT of them).
When asked: "You really think I'm calling you, and arguing wtih you for an hour, to steal a $8 cable? really? REALLY??" - and the guy hung up on me.
Worst CS experience I've encountered."
"This is my first time going through the RMA process with XFX, and I clearly will never be buying another product from them.
About 6 days into the RMA process, they have finally approved my RMA request, and now I see that it is both expensive as hell, and very time consuming. If I hadn't already immediately bought a replacement component from EVGA, their competitor, I wouldn't even have a working computer to be able to complete the RMA process. How ridiculous is that? It appears an RMA could take up to a month to complete as well.
They want me to pay to ship the defective product internationally, without a promise that I will get it back, and without a promise that they will send me a refurbished one or a new one. This was a "silent" 750w power supply with a 5 year guarantee. The fan has failed about 2.5 years in.
I am seeing other users with the same complaints about motherboards and other XFX hardware, so they have been added to my business' "DO NOT BUY" list. You'd be wise to avoid them as well. "
"This company advertises a "Lifetime" warranty, but according too XFX a "lifetime warrenty" is the lifetime of the product which they say is 5 years. At the time of writing this, XFX has current customers that have RMA'd products by XFX because they where apart of a really bad situation. So XFX shames them publicly and wont help solve their problems. I guess making fun of their customers is apart of their standard business practices and is acceptable."
"I bought a XFX R9 Fury X (which I paid an arm and a leg for) end of last year. Long story short, all that money was for nothing and I'm stuck with a borked card due to their failure not mine. I have contacted XFX tech support via their site which initially saw a speedy response.
The moment it came down to the fact that I need to RMA my card it has been radio silence.
I've been waiting close to three weeks for a reply.
I've spent a huge amount of money on the ultimate gaming rig which is now pretty much a block of plastic because I don't have a usable graphics card.
Do yourself a favour (and I should've listened to my gut on this one) and go buy Gigabyte or Asus or something...anything other than XFX.
Pretty pathetic *spit"
"on June 18th 2008 i purchased the XfX 780i Motherboard from a local store. when i got home and installed the board i registerd it with XfX that day. now its May 21st 2010 amost 2 years later and the board has failed. According to XfX i have a 2 year warrenty from the date of purchase. I have been dealing with their support and all was good until i started to get Techs that were less than helpful, claming that the board is out of warrenty when it clearly isnt. XfX will do anyitng not to honnor their warrenty's on their products. I have never had a Motherboard fail in less than 2 years. If you are looking to buy a vid card or motherboard, stay away from XfX products"
"Days after buying the graphics card, it mysteriously stopped working. After many tests I found it is definitely faulty.
So after contacting online support they asked me several questions (most of which I had already told them I tested, but I played along anyway).
This took several days, then when I asked for an RMA they refused and said sorry I had to contact the re-seller!
I had already told them the re-seller refused and said to deal with the manufacturer.
Yet they said sorry best of luck and refused to help anymore.
That is so terrible, I have never seen such poor responses and lack of care for customers before.
I really will never purchase XFX items again, and urge others to do the same.
I have since heard the same bad support stories from other people, so it is a general trend."
"XFX 780i:
Worst motherboard I`ve ever owned in my life, XFX has lost my business until they can get their act together. Don`t get my wrong the tech support is nice, it`s nice to talk to an American but NVidia chipset is unstable and the lack of cross shipping when plenty of other manufacturers will cross ship has me quite upset. No cross ship means customer down time. EVGA cross ships and Intel cross ships, now I do too."
