"I was using various sites for transferring to India. I found XOOM to be the most quick & convenient.

1 star less because I had only 1instance where my transaction done on Friday was held up as XOOMs India partner had some technical issues, I couldn’t get a quick confirmation that the transaction was cancelled. Since then I try to avoid weekends when transferring money.

Else it has been a great experience!

"Sure Xoom gets the job done, but for a small fee of course. In my case, I pay $4.99 flats fee plus Xoom does NOT give me the actual currency rate, but a lower one. I feel as though I am being hit twice. Not to mention that I always get an email saying how I can get my fee for $2.99 but after I have already sent my money through them. I can’t say that I would yell from the rooftops and recommend them. I think i’ll try Remitly or TransferWise. I hear good things about them."
